Y'know, I was just wondering if there are any good sonic fangames out there.
It would be a lot easier for me if you imagine there's something funny or interesting here.Probably the wrong place for it, but...read this. (Sonic Robo Blast 2 is a love-it-or-hate it thing, but it's really customizable and there's tons of level sets and characters available.) Sonic Megamix is really good, though.

She's playing with fire! He's not ready for Nibbly Pig!Yeah... If I remember right, Sonic Unleashed's model is based on Sonic's Brawl Model.
Wizard Needs Food BadlyI remember hearing about a few ROM Hacks, many of which are on that list, and also about a PC game that was being produced at one point... but that one was crazy. It was supposed to let you turn your character into a robot as a mechanic.
I don't really have words for that.
Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit.Sonic 4 Website Update: Badniks Section
For now, only the Motobug is shown. One thing bothers me, though — only 9 unique badniks? Perhaps I'm jumping the gun a bit, and they'll update the number of slots in due time, but still...

Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.Obviously they're not going to have files for every single one. That would be impractical.
Well, we already know they're going to have Shellcracker — though probably in a different form than its original appearance, at least in terms of attack pattern.
Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit. You know what I hate... people who think Sonic 4 is ruined forever just because it uses the taller Adventure Design... I mean even Mario got at bit taller in his jump to 3D.
Wizard Needs Food BadlyBut Mario's always changing height, isn't he?
Well, yeah... But that's powerup induced mostly.
Wizard Needs Food BadlyThere are some amazing Sonic fangames I've played before.
One of them was a DOS-based game with very scarily Megadrive-accurate controls, and had all the shields from Sonic 2/3K.
Another is Robo-Blast 2, which uses the Doom engine.
And then there's the ROM hack, Sonic Megamix.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!I'm walkin' on walls you guys.
The blind man walking off the cliff is not making a leap of faith.Hah! Spinning feet! Take that Fan Dumb!
Sonic's jump looks a tad floaty... Everything else looks ace so far, though.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.Yeah, the jumping reminds me of Sonic Adventure. Still, this is a mid-alpha, and it looks like it could go great places with finish and polish.
I imagine Sonic's jump merely looks floaty because we're not used to 3D graphics for classic-style Sonic gameplay. If this were done with sprites, I imagine it'd look pretty much exactly like the original Genesis trilogy.
Also, thing to notice: the Special Stage looks like the first Sonic game, falling through the maze of destructible blocks. Or maybe that's just one version.

Nope, this is definitely floatier than before.
Is it just me or is the in-game camera zoomed in a bit too much?
Sonic is sluggish and floaty now! Hooray?
Wait, "Mad Gear Zone"? Does that mean Mayor Hagger's going to assist Sonic in that level?
Good news, everyone! *

YKTTW Salvage ListThat gameplay actually looks pretty fun.
At the speeds we should be going in this game, how on earth are we supposed to care how he looks like? Keeerist.
