The Trope Seeker
That's the thing, isn't it? Now Mashiro is gonna have to bring in that female lead in a convincing and well-done manner unless he can't do so for whatever reason.
It was a bit surprising because I was ready to see another troll move in the story, but not this time. But now there's a new stage in this battle and that's gonna be the anime adaptations. Zombie Gun will follow Reversi eventually.

IIRC, a female lead was mentioned at some point when discussing Reversi... They probably already have one for all we know.

Yep, there was all of one panel about making sure there's a "heroine."
I think it's time to check in with our metatextual counterparts from the Bakuman universe...
<<Wow, so the Crow anime is finally ending. I'm a little sad, but given how freaking awesome the final volumes of the manga were, it's going to be a really satisfying conclusion. And besides, there's still The Movie side stories, those will probably go another year or two like the Dragonball ones did. (The rumor about a second crossover with the Natural + characters sounds intriguing.)
<<And instead of jumping straight into a Zombie*Gun anime, we're getting Reversi. Can't say it's too much of a shock; If Reversi keeps up the pace in the manga like it has been, it will make a nice limited-run series so that when Zombie*Gun does start its anime, it will have that extra six months to a year to build story so less filler will be needed.
<<Let the casting speculation begin—though I kind of pity the actress who gets stuck with Distressed-chan. Sure, she's the main female character, but she's not exactly a feminist icon.
<<Perfect Crime Party had a slightly better female lead, but I suppose the Moral Guardians still aren't thrilled about junior high kids who commit "crimes" for fun, and are blocking an anime for that.>>

<<Maybe they changed their names and started a new series. Ashirogi's art is kinda similar, maybe it's really them ![]() Illusionary Dominance
<<Why in the world would you ever expect Zombie Gun to get an anime? It's way too early for that. I doubt they're even considering it yet. Reversi makes some sense since they can coordinate the ending with the writers, but Zombie Gun is obviously designed to go on forever.>>
I guess I have this liveblog thing. Warning: Touhou

<<I don't really like Zombie Gun. But to be honest, I don't really like zombies anyway. Like Highschool of the Dead...at least there aren't any panty shots in Zombie Gun...>>

It is obvious that their heroins are same everytime. All are Mihos!

I will be posting intermittently from here on out!

Doublepost.
I just finished reading the latest manga chapter... Damn! I love this manga!

Volume 9 of the North American translation is out. We briefly meet Kaya's parents, and learn more about Mashiro's father than at any other point...though we still don't see him.
There's also the suggestion that Kaya and her husband might be having sex, with that really "erotic" bed, but nothing on screen.
Natural + starts, And we have the very brief run of Tanto.
One more volume, and I think we'll be at the point where I started reading the scanlations.

Also in the news about the official release, for those who didn't hear several days ago, the next set of dub episodes has been placed on indefinite hold due to issues at Media Blasters.

And the first issue of Shonen Jump Alpha is up—the chapter of Bakuman shown is our heroes meeting the voice actress at the Tezuka Awards.

Incidentally, I like what they did there with their cover page. ![]() Soul Power!
I saw that coming. I knew Ririka'd be something they'd have to take care of.

Looking back at what I actually wrote last page, it seems this chapter systematically addressed everything I thought it would address. Well, I guess I didn't expressly predict an actual scandal.

Incoming troll!!!
Also, there's gonna be a jab at fans who think that Christmas Cake actresses aren't as cute and beautiful anymore. It's always has to be someone on less than 25-27 years old for some of these idiots.
Even if people will start considering V As like Rie Tanaka as Christmas Cakes and she'd ask me to marry her (After the courting process and all, mind you), I'd marry her in a heartbeat just so I can troll the so-called "fans" and give them the finger while saying "Rie Tanaka's still hot and I'm a lucky bastard! I married her and you didn't. Too bad for you and go me.You've proved your useless nerdiness, so go fuck yourselves!'
