The Eternal FoolAbout time.
The Trope SeekerThat's the thing, isn't it? Now Mashiro is gonna have to bring in that female lead in a convincing and well-done manner unless he can't do so for whatever reason. It was a bit surprising because I was ready to see another troll move in the story, but not this time. But now there's a new stage in this battle and that's gonna be the anime adaptations. Zombie Gun will follow Reversi eventually.
Have you ever danced with tropes on the pale moonlight?
The Eternal FoolIIRC, a female lead was mentioned at some point when discussing Reversi... They probably already have one for all we know.

Great and PowerfulYep, there was all of one panel about making sure there's a "heroine." I think it's time to check in with our metatextual counterparts from the Bakuman universe... <<Wow, so the Crow anime is finally ending. I'm a little sad, but given how freaking awesome the final volumes of the manga were, it's going to be a really satisfying conclusion. And besides, there's still The Movie side stories, those will probably go another year or two like the Dragonball ones did. (The rumor about a second crossover with the Natural + characters sounds intriguing.) <<And instead of jumping straight into a Zombie*Gun anime, we're getting Reversi. Can't say it's too much of a shock; If Reversi keeps up the pace in the manga like it has been, it will make a nice limited-run series so that when Zombie*Gun does start its anime, it will have that extra six months to a year to build story so less filler will be needed. <<Let the casting speculation begin—though I kind of pity the actress who gets stuck with Distressed-chan. Sure, she's the main female character, but she's not exactly a feminist icon. <<Perfect Crime Party had a slightly better female lead, but I suppose the Moral Guardians still aren't thrilled about junior high kids who commit "crimes" for fun, and are blocking an anime for that.>>
Ahr river<<When has Ashirogi EVER been good with female characters! They all look the fricking same! Needs to learn how to draw more women...>>
Praise the Sun!<<What is it with series like that with crappy female characters. Remember Misa from Death Note? God she was awful. I wonder if Oba and Obata learnt from their mistakes. Did they ever make a new series? But on that note, maybe the Reversi anime will have the same level of overplayed epicness that made the Death Note Anime so much fun!>> <<But still, guess it was a bit much to ask for a Zombie Gun anime now, though admittedly I never watched the Crow Anime much. I would be interested to see how they would handle Filler if they had to resort to it, as I heard they didn't have much for the Crow Anime.>> <<@SKJAM I guess the movies could be good, but I dunno, that last one that dipped into High Octane Nightmare Fuel alot just really didn't mesh well with what I liked in the series.>>

Ahr river<<Maybe they changed their names and started a new series. Ashirogi's art is kinda similar, maybe it's really them >>
Three Steps<<Why in the world would you ever expect Zombie Gun to get an anime? It's way too early for that. I doubt they're even considering it yet. Reversi makes some sense since they can coordinate the ending with the writers, but Zombie Gun is obviously designed to go on forever.>>
Ahr river<<I don't really like Zombie Gun. But to be honest, I don't really like zombies anyway. Like Highschool of the Dead...at least there aren't any panty shots in Zombie Gun...>>
<<Eh, I thought Zombie Gun was great. It's almost as good as Reversi, but then I really like the battle-of-wits type of manga. Glad to hear it's going to get an anime!>>
Not anime oneIt is obvious that their heroins are same everytime. All are Mihos!
Soul Power!I will be posting intermittently from here on out!
Soul Power!Doublepost. I just finished reading the latest manga chapter... Damn! I love this manga!
Great and PowerfulVolume 9 of the North American translation is out. We briefly meet Kaya's parents, and learn more about Mashiro's father than at any other point...though we still don't see him. There's also the suggestion that Kaya and her husband might be having sex, with that really "erotic" bed, but nothing on screen. Natural + starts, And we have the very brief run of Tanto. One more volume, and I think we'll be at the point where I started reading the scanlations.
The Eternal FoolAlso in the news about the official release, for those who didn't hear several days ago, the next set of dub episodes has been placed on indefinite hold due to issues at Media Blasters.
Great and PowerfulAnd the first issue of Shonen Jump Alpha is up—the chapter of Bakuman shown is our heroes meeting the voice actress at the Tezuka Awards.
The Eternal Fool165 is up.
Three StepsYeah, I figured the tension would be on this side.
The Eternal FoolIncidentally, I like what they did there with their cover page. Too bad that won't be in the English release, unless Shonen Jump Alpha is going to use it.
Soul Power!I saw that coming. I knew Ririka'd be something they'd have to take care of.
I had forgot about her, myself. Anyway, kinda predictable, but I like this potential story line. Miho need to appear more, after all.
Three StepsLooking back at what I actually wrote last page, it seems this chapter systematically addressed everything I thought it would address. Well, I guess I didn't expressly predict an actual scandal.

What the efff? I knew (ok everyone knew, since Bakuman foreshadowing is really obvious) that Ririka is gonna be someone important, but ... I didn't expect this. So whoever-his-name-is is a villain now? Seriously? And to confirm his villain status, he seems to have gone fatter. (I don't think fat people are evil, but this manga seems to follow the trope Good people = Beautiful people). And he seems to visiting what appears to be 4chan/2chan? Is this some sort of take that at 4chan/2chan?
Wow, I've totally failed to notice this guy was the aspirant to mangaka from the beginning. Yeah, he got fat.

The Trope SeekerIncoming troll!!! Also, there's gonna be a jab at fans who think that Christmas Cake actresses aren't as cute and beautiful anymore. It's always has to be someone on less than 25-27 years old for some of these idiots. Even if people will start considering V As like Rie Tanaka as Christmas Cakes and she'd ask me to marry her (After the courting process and all, mind you), I'd marry her in a heartbeat just so I can troll the so-called "fans" and give them the finger while saying "Rie Tanaka's still hot and I'm a lucky bastard! I married her and you didn't. Too bad for you and go me.You've proved your useless nerdiness, so go fuck yourselves!'
