Re;Birth2 hits the West early 2015.
EDIT: Another trailer for Victory II.

I'm watching a playthrough of Producing Perfection.
I like how the "lessons" are literally just cutscenes. And then you get a stat bonus. For doing absolutely nothing.
10/10 goty

To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."Yeah... I have a feeling that's par for course in the genre, though. Correct me if I'm wrong.
BTW, about the "why is Neptunia so popular" discussion 2 pages ago, I just realized one major factor. You may not realize it... or remember it very often... but this series actually has a very sizable female fanbase in the West. Not the sort of thing you usually see forming around usual otaku-aimed series.
Maybe it's because of the Gamer Girl demographic? The franchise does have an Improbably Female Cast of female personifications of consoles and game companies. (as well as the female Yuri fans)

Perhaps.
So, Neptunia U launched last week. I've still heard nothing about its quality or lack thereof. It opened with 35K copies and sold out, though.

Finally got around to picking up my copy of Re;Birth1. I was happy to see that their choice of battle theme was a remix of the original's 8-bit tutorial theme. There are some voice glitches, though. Compa uses some of her Japanese clips while jumping, Plutia uses some from Noire when jumping, Peashy's base form voice clips are all from Nepgear (but goes back to her voice when she becomes Yellow Heart). IFi is looking into the issue, though.
I also heard a few things about U. First off, while the Costume Break system cannot be directly disabled, every costume has several versions. Normal, easy to damage, already damaged or immune to breaking. The game is apparently rather short and easy, but fun.

Re;Birth3 was announced yesterday.
I don't know what the point is aside from the port.
It's another title for the Vita.
That's reason enough.
MMORPGs are serious business.Yeah, another hyper-anime JRPG. Cause the Vita surely needs more of those.
As an aside, I like how the dinky idol sim game has the most English voice acting since the first game.

To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."One thing that tends to bother me about JRP Gs that scream "anime" is the unusual tendency for them to use low-res sprites(unless they are mostly visual novels), usually viewed from a diagonal angle. Also, apparently one of the more popular games on the Vita is Demon Gaze, which is a dungeon crawler with incredibly lackluster graphics and bleh combat.
I mean, guys, was there even a reason we moved off the PSP?
MMORPGs are serious business.Yeah, the Vita isn't at all short on JRPGs or Neptunia games. Heck, now they have 6 or 10 games in the franchise.
Incidentally, I've been playing Fairy Fencer F. I can only hope Neptunia VII has anything approaching that level of production values. Heck, aside from when you go back in time, the game doesn't reuse layouts (aside from that one map used twice). Meanwhile, Neptunia has been spamming the same 4 maps for most of their dungeons since Victory.
I find it hilarious how the original is the game that bothered having a 3D tileset so as to not reuse the same layouts over and over.
Oh, and I doubt the idol sim has the most voice acting. It's probably just that it's a much shorter game and thus has the same amount of voice acting concentrated into 1-2 hours instead of spread out over 30.

A gameplay video has answered my question regarding the port.
The interface has changed to match the other Re;Birth entries, including the toned-down Chirper system, and the story has adjusted a bit.
Hyperdevotion huh? Interesting choice
That's one snazzy font.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."Wasn't that a failing game?
Although so is Freedom Wars, and the vita has few enough worthwhile games as it is, so eh.
MMORPGs are serious business.Failing as in bad?
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."Failing as in "everybody gets it at first and then returns it way too fast, flooding used game bins"
MMORPGs are serious business.Well... maybe it won't be as bad here since not as many people buy these games in the first place?

To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."Yeah, I do remember hearing that the Noire game was pretty terribly received for a lot of reasons.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.The only real bad things I have heard about it is that it is easier than most Sting games and there are a few OOC mechanics and such.
But man she seems ready to try and shine.◊

Dem twintails though
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."From what I recall, the gameplay is really clunky and repetitive, the title character is a no show for most of the game and the plot instead focuses on a (male) original character who comes off as a blatant Gary Stu.
It's been a while since we got the first reports of it though...
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.
@Physical Stamina: Those screwed out of the LE are giving them a shitstorm. Those who got copies are defensing because they got copies.
@Morning Star: Sounds completely off-base. Gust vanished because Koei-Tecmo bought and absorbed them, no other reason. Also, NISA continues to license the lion's share of all Compile Heart titles to grace Western shores. Only thing I can think of that would place strain on it is Idea Factory International's grabbing of the Neptunia license - they claimed the company was set up to handle IF and CH titles nobody wanted to localize, and then they pull that move.
As for DLC... The console games have over $100 in DLC spread over a few months, PP had a few props available from release (with many being only available from codes with certain products in Japan), Re;Birth1 has just a few characters and the like. Dunno about Re;Birth2.
