Not only are there a ton of other explanations about why that might happen, there's also a wealth of other evidence that they could've used.

I think mostly he just has a sense of humor that is ill-fitted to your blog. His comments on Reactionstuck's entertainment value this time came off as much less rankling to me, seeing as he was more acknowledging their personal nature.

He's probably also a tsundere though.

Someone told bke that the blog must be fake because reactionstuck referred to AG as "she" before her gender was shown.

BKE said that that is not much evidence of that, and that they had also assumed that at the time, and then repeated that they don't care whether reactionstuck is fake, because they personally do not find reactionstuck interesting.

Which is hilarious, because he seems really invested in the idea that it's really. If he really didn't care one way or another, I doubt he'd write such big posts about it.

His confidence in his own righteousness is admirable, if nothing else.

@Mousa: Really? I remember watching the SU tropes page grow, and Pearl was the first Base Breaker.

2nd Day of the Con: Met tons of other cosplayers, people from other islands, people in the military, and I sat by a trashcan with the other Homestuck Trash, as was fitting.

I met the artist on Nemu Nemu and talked about Namco High with her (she drew Blue Max).

@Ninety, Well I guess admirable would be the kind way of putting it.

@Dr. Psyche, Different reference pools I guess. From what I've seen Pearl has been really popular. But I guess between the character who doesn't emote much and the character who is purposefully obnoxious people had no choice but to gravitate to the neurotic nervous wreck with the funniest facial expressions.

Her suffering is amusing to me.

And also the dorky little smiles.

I love everyone on that show in different ways.

Eh, no, not really. He's something of a jackass, but a mostly harmless one, at least.

I too like everyone (sans Lars) in their own way, which is sort of why I go "of them all, why is Pearl the more loved one here?".

Even Mayor Dewey grew on me slightly during the blackout episode.

Still hate his campaign-mobile though.

Lars is a weird case. Everyone else has their flaws, very realistically, and most of the time they make up for it. Pearl cares very deeply for Steven and her partners even when she gets neurotic, and so on. Lars, though... yes, he's just a teenager and all that, but he's just an unrepentant jerk. Something tells me that he and Sadie won't be together too long unless they both grow up.

From what I've heard Lars seems a case of Status Quo Is God enforced by Aesop Amnesia, odd since the story does change itself up quite a bit.

Granted that line was intended for Simpsons/Family Guy

Pearl was my favorite, but Garnet has Stronger Than You and is therefore flawless.

Also, as far as humans go, Greg Universe is my husband.

Actually, that might be my favorite thing about him.

I like Pearl for a lot of reasons, chiefly because I think she's the funniest, and because I think she has the most character depth. I still like all of the others, though.

Actually, I just had an idea - what if the Holo-Pearl came back as some sort of way for Pearl to even the odds against a superior opponent, maybe another Gem? It could physically damage people, after all.

Lars is a jerk, especially after "Joking Victim". Granted, I haven't gotten to any Lars-focused episodes since then, so maybe he gets better. I think the next one has him and Sadie.
