I like Spiritomb a lot, and it's equal parts dank and spoop. I want to raise one but I don't have one with the hidden ability and I want that.
But Drapion is my favorite Pokemon and it IS a Dark type, even if I'm more interested in its Poison traits.

I think that for breeding abilities, the mother's ability is a 100% guarantee on the baby, while the father's isn't.
The dad rule applies even while using a Ditto, I believe. Though hidden abilities are a lower chance, so you will still go through a lot of eggs.
Though you might have better success finding hidden abilities in the wild. Even if you come across a male, I think the offspring is still more likely to inherit the fathers ability than being randomized if Ditto'd.
Though it's been a while since I bred anything, so don't quote me on this.
I know fully well how to breed Pokemon. I've been raising entire boxes of optimized Pokemon for years.
I just don't have a HA Spiritomb and do not have the means to acquire one.

The Unknown
If the mother has a Hidden Ability, there's a 60% chance of it being passed down.
If the mother is a Ditto and the father has a Hidden Ability, there's like a 40% chance of it being passed down.

Regigigas without Slow Start is ridiculously strong. 100 speed, true, but then you have 110/110/110 defenses to back the massive 160 attack, a diverse movepool, and a single weakness.
OU probably. Remember, Black Kyurem is there JUST due to lacking the moves and having to go mixed. Regigigas could go Return/Knock Off/Drain Punch out of 160 base Attack.

So, here's a question- Suppose Regigas only needs to endure one or two turns of Slow Start's effects, and upon being lifted, not only does it get its stats set properly, but it gets a free Dragon Dance effect on top?
