I'm not saying it wasn't a great job.
It was. Great guess. Really. However you got to admit it wasn't a BIT obvious.
Also I presume we weren't linking for a reason. It's on the WMG page for HIMYM.

To Be Updated when I'm not LazyNot everyone knew it was Barney, I thought it was going to be Punchy.
7th season promo is out. Who's looking forward to this? me.
Also, I heard a rumor that Victoria is going to show up in the second episode of this season? If so, that's awesome. And makes me wonder if the website tedmosbyisnotajerk.com will actually be connected to the show somehow.
I figured that tedmosbyisajerk.com was connected by the episode it was featured in and that was it. As for Victoria? Oh yeah, I want that. I mean granted it's confirmed that she isn't the mother but eh. Still awesome.
deviantArt | TwitterActually, I said tedmosbyisnotajerk.com. Entirely different website(about Conan O'Brien?). Still amusing, though.
It would surprise me if "Not a jerk" is not connected to the show... If only because the opening testimonial (of the "person" who "created" the site) is basically a play-by-play of the episode Ted meets Victoria.
Either it was made by the show, or someone has way too much time on their hands...
This was a good season premiere, but I've always had a problem with the Nora storyline: namely that we haven't been shown nearly enough about her character to make Barney's infatuation with her believable. I mean, when Ted falls head over heels for a woman with little buildup, it's believable because it's Ted. With Barney, however, a little more effort needs to be put into making the love interest something special.
"It takes an idiot to do cool things, that's why it's cool" - Haruhara HarukoIf nothing else I'm glad the kids are back, even if it is just stock footage.
HIMYM is freaking hilarious. I loved watching it when I lived at home with my parents, but I don't have tv yet in my house. So can anyone tell me dish tv or direc tv?
Holy crap. Holy crap. HOLY FREAKING AIPFHJAP;FHJ;ALFHALFHGAL;HFA;HLFAKL;GFSJKL;BGH;ALFJKA'FAJ'FJ'fFk K
VICTORIA!!! HOLY SHIT!!!!
3DS FC: 1719-3694-1541I always figured she'd come back at some point. I'd love for her to be The Mother, but I'm pretty sure enough clues have been dropped about the mom that disqualify her.
Well, Victoria was as great as ever, and Barney conditioning Marshall to go to a particular restaurant every time Barney sneezed certainly ups his Chessmaster cred. Pretty good episode, overall.
"It takes an idiot to do cool things, that's why it's cool" - Haruhara HarukoI just saw the new episode. I look forward to seeing the ducky tie for the rest of the season :D
I'm not. If only because Barney takes bets seriously...
Which means his wedding isn't until next year(at the earliest)...
The bet was that he had to wear that specific tie; nothing says he can't dye it a different color.
"It takes an idiot to do cool things, that's why it's cool" - Haruhara HarukoIt also doesn't say anything about wearing it in another way...
Also, this week's episode was pretty darn good - I really want to see what Ted mean when he said that "it didn't work". Probably has something to do with the wedding...

Just re watched episode 2 and noticed something When Marshall gets drunk and it cuts to the casino Barny is wearing the ducky tie.
I've been rewatching the series the last week or so and jeez, the fifth season is not good at all. It depressed me quite a bit.
I'm with you. I hated that season. Ted's story was stagnant through the whole thing, and the whole Barney and Robin thing that they had spent 2 seasons working towards ended after 2 or 3 episodes in a really thoughtless way.
Might just be us though. I've read about a lot of hatred for the fourth season and I loved that one. It has some of my favorite episodes.
I binged throgh the first six seasons when i first saw it, and the only one that was sometimes hard to watch for me was seasom 3 (because they had a lot of stock sitcom plots there, AFAIK).
You lost!I dunno, I still feel like Season 5 was the show's nadir overall. If only for sinking the hell out of Barney/Robin for reasons only shown to us in the episode they broke up it will stand out as my least-favorite season.

deviantArt | TwitterMy absolute favorite episode is still the season 4 finale - because that was the very first episode I ever saw, before I had even begun watching the show. Even outside of that I feel that it's a very emotional episode that did a lot of good things.
But then season 5 sabotaged Barney and Robin's relationship afterward, which just sucks. I feel that season 6, though after a bit of a shaky start, improved boatloads. There are so many episodes in that season that have Tearjerker moments.
Why do so many people hate Ted?
Sure... he's a douche sometimes, but most of the time he genuinely tries to make up for it and change for the better. And I just love how so many people demonize Ted while sugarcoating Barney at the same time. What the hell? Barney's way more of a jerk than Ted, although I like him anyway...
The only time where I can honestly say that Ted was a real jerk for a prolonged period of time was (surprise, surprise) season 5. Though, it was understandable, considering that the latter half of season 4 sort of kicked his ass a little - though the writers should have had him recover far earlier.
Ok. Honestly, I don't tend to seek out spoiler things... And since neither were linked to in this thread, I don't see the whole "everyone knew it way back when" that you claim.
That and the second article was 2 days after my post...
