I tried playing it on Sunday, my friend wanted to see how well I'd do. Easy Mode, Death Toll. It was fun, though I was pretty shit, and managed to also get hit by the Witch at one point. In the end, the whole team did get on the boat, and with green HP.
I have to say, the game is art in videogame form. The way the levels are designed, down to detail, all the messages on the walls, the teamwork. Valve have really won me over.

Left 4 Dead is a fun game, me and my friend played through two of the campains in like 30 minutes. I know it sounds hard and it was but he has beat the game like 8 times so he knew exactly were to go.

The reason I love Left 4 Dead is that no matter how good a shot you might be, no matter how well you might know the levels, you WILL fail if you don't have the help of your buddies. There are plenty of games that encourage teamwork, but not enough that require it.

There is a cubicle farm in No Mercy?
I only recall the one in Dead Air...

Moar epic moment:
Versus Mode. No Mercy. With two players on either team, myself and my teammate playing the Infected for this round, we've killed two survivors but failed to gain any ground on the other two.
They reach the safe room on the ground floor of the hospital, but are being attacked by a Horde after getting slimed by a Boomer. Being so close to the safe room, they decide to try and take down the Horde before they close the room up. My teammate and I, having respawned as Hunters, take advantage of their stupidity; we rush into the fray, run into the safe room through the confusion, then turn around and pounce the survivors. We were laughing our asses off for at least thirty seconds.

my friend and his team once, in No Mercy waited until they all got hunter, and waited at the top of the elevator. When the door opened, each of them pounced their designated target. Owned.

Shouldn't it be called Left 5 Dead?
It would be a lot easier for me if you imagine there's something funny or interesting here.

People always complain about new stuff. Ignore them.
I on the other hand, don't think Valve can create anything taht isn't just consentrated awesome. They're not game developers, they're artists.
[ed.] Fixed.

It's Valve, not Steam.
Steam is the content delivery platform.

I think the main complaints were that this is too early and they should just release an expansion pack, but what's done is done and the sequel already looks awesome.

@Galeros: Ever killed a zombie with a Medkit?
