The Walking Dead: The Game:

Well, for one thing, I'm pretty sure she would know it was in there to begin with, since songs have to be licensed to be used.

Well, yeah, but I want to know what her reaction was. Her Twitter account has updated since May.

Well this sucks. I just got the game and for some reason I have to start all over from episode 1 even though I've gotten to episode 4.

[up] That's a very common glitch, read the telltale support forums for how to fix it, you probably don't need to restart, it's just reading the wrong save file. For some reason the gaming press were silent despite it being a very common unfixed bug.

Thanks! Here's my thoughts on all the episodes of the game (Haven't finished 5).

Ep 1- It was okay.

Ep 2- It was great. One of the creepiest chapters besides 4.

Ep 3- The best in the game.

Ep 4- Creepy, but was a bi of a let down after 3 and 2. Still fun.

Well, if we're rating episodes.

  • 1: A really good setup. Great at hooking the player in.
  • 2: Similarly good as setup for the actual themes of the series (You can't save everyone) and I greatly enjoyed the mystery, even if it was incredibly obvious.
  • 3: The first episode to actually make me cry. Really good, even if it was kind of the beginning of the harder railroading (Not that I really care about that, but eh.)
  • 4: The best episode, in my opinion, really long, with a lot of good character moments, and an actual sense of fear.
  • 5: Fantasticly beautiful ending. Just thinking about it makes me want to go cry in the corner again...

The one thing I instantly hate about ep 2: Mark. Its not really explained where he came from, he's very boring, and they killed him too early.
[up] At least his legs were delicious.

Uniocular
Well, all of that is justified by the fact that they kill him no more than half an hour into the episode.

The way he crawled down the stairs before dieing was kinda funny in a dark way, too.
ZOMG TEH REI!!!!
Just beat the game.

Man, that final scene was a triple whammy of The Land Before Time, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and Metal Gear Solid 3. I'm sad now. sad

Season 2 may link to TV show.

It also seems that season 2 will be a lot cheerier than the first.

[up][up] Eh, they don't have the license for the show, Activision does. And it can't be both connected to the comic and the show at once, they are two different stories with the same characters.

I like to pretend the zombies were spread by gas at first, which seems spreading more realistic then just "bite, tear, and not get shot".

Zombies aren't supposed to be realistic, anyhow.

I also wish their were zombie animals, not abundant, but like a dog or something.
Uniocular
D.Robert Kirkman has specifically said there will never be zombie animals in The Walking Dead.

And I imagine the disease would have to have been spread by gas, or water, since everyone is infected. Either that or magic.

Bleh, magic zombies always either brings necromancy or religion. Neither makes a good canditate for the source here.

Uniocular
Yeah, I wouldn't like it either.

So, something I never noticed being confirmed or denied: Do long-buried and dead people come back? People in graves?

Well Walking Dead works under Romero "Everyone is infected" rules, so I'd assume so.

The infection seems to operate only on those who are still biologically capable of reanimation. The boy in the Attic in the game whittled away to almost nothing and then was reanimated, but the man in the train did not reanimate (due to his head being smashed in during the crash). So it's more than plausible and likely that the infection only affects the recently dead, who still have some cellular activity going on after death.

Even if people buried in graves came back, they're not gonna be busting out of a coffin and then digging up through six feet of earth.
Cipher sent us to Hell, but we're going even deeper. Take back everything that we've lost.
Gentleman Adventurer
[up] Yeah, this is the way I understood it too. Everyone is infected, even the dead as long as they have a brain still intact enough. Makes me wonder though, would any corpses that were kept in a vacuum be uninfected?

Also coffins don't last all that long unless they're made of metal. So all there is in between is a lot of dirt, which still makes it impossible to get up, but no coffin for the most part. :B
