That's vegetation.
I mean.
Okay, yeah, there's vegetable matter. That's a term.
...There should be Majins named Sala, Gadoola and/or Menchicka.

I may be misremembering but I'm pretty sure there was a scene right after Goku arrived on Namek where Vegeta was remembering the Super Saiyan legend. I think he said that the last Super Saiyan could only transform in his Great Ape state and that he couldn't control his power and blew himself up along with the planet. Thus Planet Vegeta is not the original Saiyan homeworld but a place they move to afterwards under the rule of Kinf Vegeta I. This may have been only added in the dub and may not be in the original japanese. Though come to think of it if both King Vegeta and Prince Vegeta have the same name, and surnames don't exist on Vegeta than they must be Vegeta the V and VI or X and XI or whatever.
I think that was mostly anime filler
all I can find is that a Super Saiyan is only supposed to appear once a thousand years and the only accompanying image to that flashback is an image of a Moon, so I guess its implied the last supersaiyan was a great monkey
I think there was a thing where Toriyama said that Planet Vegeta wasn't their original home.
...No, wait, that was Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans.
And GT.
And Episode of Bardock.
...Are the Tuffles mentioned at all in the manga?
Because, I think in the anime, it was said that Vegeta's dad became king after he united the different Saiyan tribes on Planet Plant and they defeated the Tuffles after a really long war.
And that apparently there was a full moon for the first time in 8 years or something.
...I mean. I am somewhat loathe to count GT as a thing. But in that Elder Kai mentions something about there being a Super Saiyan 4 before. So maybe he or she was the original Super Saiyan that Vegeta mentions and the one that blew up the first Saiyan homeworld.

Hard to keep track of who the real Legendary Super Warrior is. Bardock, Broly, or someone else entirely?
I have a message from another time...I mean. Bardock ended up being in the past of Planet Plant.
I know how TFS handled it, but I'm pretty sure those purple people weren't actually meant to be Saiyans.
Bardock would be the reason Chilled's family knows about Super Saiyans but probably not the reason our Vegeta does.
So.
I distinctly recall multiple things in the anime and also Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans having a thing about the Saiyans arriving on Planet Plant after their original world got blown up.
And something about a Super Saiyan being responsible for that.
The Saiyans lived on Planet Plant as a bunch of separate tribes until Vegeta united them and went to war with the Tuffles.
Then a full moon happened.
Then Vegeta renamed the planet after himself and made himself king and had a kid he named after himself.
Then some other things happened and Beerus showed up I guess.

It was never hinted that the last Super Saiyan was an ape. That was the anime putting visuals to Vegeta's words when the manga did no such thing. The manga showed a moon while Vegeta was talking about how the Super Saiyan surpasses the limits of even elites, which seems to just be implying "It's even stronger than the oozaru transformation".

"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."Yes, that sure is a clip in the anime.
Of course, for all we know, the legendry warrior from space could have been some sort of ultimate Oozaru. Remember that all Goku and friends have is the legend, whch they used to name Goku's amazing transformation on Namek. It's entirely possible that what they call Super Saiyan and what the Saiyans of old called Super Saiyan aren't the same.

I have a message from another time...What if the legendary super warrior was just a really tall dude?
The sad, REAL American dichotomyThen this must've happened a lot.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Well, he was. Broly was fucking enormous.
What's precedent ever done for us?Mistranslation and/or misinterpretation.
Vegeta never said a Super Saiyan appears once every thousand years. He said that the last person to achieve the Super Saiyan state did so one thousand years ago. He's relating history, not prophecy.
This common misunderstanding of Vegeta's statement ultimately led to the creation of Broly, "the Legendary Super Saiyan," in an attempt to distinguish him from regular Super Saiyans and thus fill a plot hole that never actually existed in the first place.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.The worst thing about Broly is you're always staring at his junk.◊
"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."Their gaming videos are normally just meh, but their last 2 Xenoverse videos have been hilarious. Especially the part where Kieran and Lani started talking like they were fused.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!Hmm, I want Vegeta as a mentor but I want Piccolo to teach me more things.
Vegeta's not gonna like disappear anytime soon is he? Like he'll hang around right?
Oh really when? They spawn randomly, so you might see Vegeta the moment you finish Piccolo's stuff, or you may see him many quests later.
"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."Supposedly, it's possible to save scum for whatever master you want.
The load times make that less convenient than you'd think.
As does the point where you load.
Makes grinding PQs even more tedious.
As does the fact that the mentors can appear in any part of Toki Toki City.
I'm grinding the PQs and Mentors together, so when I need a new Mentor, I run a lap around the city to find one. If it's one I've already done, I do a PQ, then have to run a lap around the city to find which Mentor is active this time. Repeat until you get a new Mentor.
It's a very time-consuming process.

I thought vegetable was (outside of culinary stuff) just a word for plant matter.
I have a message from another time...
