Nice to see them playing an actual scary game that they can't really make fun of, though the fact that the game was dark as hell and they couldn't figure out the dual-wielding mechanic kind of ruined it because we couldn't really see what was happening.

I'm not sure if I understood this correctly, but apparently someone asked them to play this? Regardless, beware the bad microphone quality (for some weird reason).:
The only remotely scary thing (in a jump scare kinda way) is Matt sometimes getting surprised by the zombies. Doesn't help that Pat seems to have memorized the game inside out. Never would have expected Doomguy to be called "Flint Mc Taggart" though.

Yeah, someone did actually ask them to play that. And yeah, it wasn't very scary. I found most of the entertainment to be in the commentary, like how Matt kept interrupting Pat in things and Pat eventually yelled "LET ME FINISH THE F*CKING STORY!"

Good, another game that actually scares them.
Also, you guys should look on their Facebook page, they've been posting comics that people have done from their episodes, like they did one from their Silent Hill Downpour Let's Play, then another for their Soul Caliber video.

If this and their Call of Cthulhu videos show anything, it's that the only way to make surprise scares actually scary is to not have any build up to them. No musical cues, no cutscenes, no bodies lying on the ground that you know are going to stand up, just look up and something is bearing down on you.
Hope the Downpour artist does more.

They certainly picked an odd spot to end the video. Did their their recorder go bad not long after that point, or was the rest of that particular fight really boring? Maybe they died and got bit in the rear by Matt's refusal to save the game... but that really sounds like the kind of hilarious thing you'd want to leave in the video.
