Have you ever heard the Bon Scott era? It's much different than the Brian Johnson era, much bluesier in tone, and Scott's voice is less "abrasive" than Johnson's.

I'd agree with everything except the last point. Johnson's voice may be harsher than Scott's, but Scott's voice and singing style were...unique, to say the least, and I could easily see how someone could find him annoying.
