Not really, it might have been put on hold. I would have.
Fight smart, not fair.Found out some info. Apparently they are waiting for something to be built/refurbished before they can move forward with the project again. They already have the prototype weapon designed. As in the actual basics of the weapon system.
Ahh here it is. They are waiting for an improvement in power technologies that is being worked on currently. Towards the Bottom

Look at that plasma tale and the shock waves coming off the sabot jacket.◊ In the mean time a nifty picture.
This whole project interests me.

Who watches the watchmen?Nice. I may not like weapons in general but they sure can be pretty.
Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit. It's just amazing what they can do. I wonder if we can find a civilian use for such a beast.
A fun experiment you can do at home is electro plating.

Who watches the watchmen?I don't suppose anyone's going to be at the 2010 meeting of the Georgia Entomological Society, this October? It's a joint meeting with the South Carolina society, so it will be in South Carolina.
I'm giving a presentation on my work.
I didn't write any of that.I heard Nasa is working on a giant railgun to launch things into space.
We really need more railguns.
"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"I prefer the giant potato gun model.
Fight smart, not fair.I haven't heard of any such device being actually designed and ready to build, but I know it would be an effective means. Trouble is that, for human occupants, the tunnel would have to be at least a couple kilometers long.
Meta Four: I'm afraid I haven't much interest in entomology. I'm a bit surprised that there'd only be one person in that field here, though.

Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit. It's supposed to be a heavy lift platform. You chuck the heavy stuff that isn't delicate up with the rail gun and use rockets with a much lower acceleration for the squishy meat bags.
Fight smart, not fair.Seems like a good way to get rid of toxic waste, so long as you can chuck far enough for it not to stay in orbit around the planet and cause problems.
Or just fire it at the moon. Unless you're afraid of radioactive moon monsters.
Fight smart, not fair.I want to find out just how much of a person you can replace with machinery before they cease to be human.
"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"You sure that's a scientific issue?
That's Feo . . . He's a disgusting, mysoginistic, paedophilic asshat who moonlights as a shitty writer—Something Awfulwell postulating about it and actually replacing it's a bit different, if you know what I mean. Science is basically just the search for applied truth anyways right?
"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"So I'm thinking of getting my own Liquid Propane Bunsen Burner. I don't know what kinds of prices to expect, all I know is that I want one that has good adjustment valves for gas and air inlets, not one of those straight-pipe things that look thrown together. Prices range from $10 to $60 or more, so I'm confused as to what sort I should get.
That is to say, I don't know what companies to look at for supply.

Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit. One topic that interests me is that of ecological coexistence. We learn in biology class that each species is able to maintain its population in a community because it occupies a certain niche within the community, right? So what about ecosystems with ridiculously high biodiversity? Rainforests can have hundreds of species of trees over just a few hectares. Because of situations of like this, folks like Steve Hubbell have come up with the Unified Neutral Theory: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unified_neutral_theory_of_biodiversity_and_biogeography
It's a really interesting topic, and having been in the crossfire of the debates, I can tell ecologists who support both niche and neutral theory are very adamant about their viewpoint (although it's surprising the extent to which they collaborate!).

In relation to the bunsen burner, don't worry about it. Not an issue at this point. No sense in getting in trouble for wanting to thermally decompose some rocks.
If I need one, I'll ask at the university rather than go trudging around online.

You're welcome.
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."So I read this, and when it got to the 7:00 panel I actually took about 20 seconds to crank out the answer, and then saw the "NOBODY CARES" panel

Nitrocellulose can halt aging!
Tue: I'm afraid I haven't been. Any new releases?
Wicked: Yeah, not fond of the ending myself, but the rest of it is brilliant.
