My sister is instant messaging me from the next room over while she is working on college application essays. She can hear every giggle, and she is making me have fits of them.

@Charlie: That explains your love of Doom, I guess. You're old enough to actually remember its release, unless I'm mistaken. [lol]

Yeah. I think the first time I played it was the SNES version back in school.

I never actually owned my own copy until 2k4, though. tongue

Man, college application essays. I hate those.

@Maddy:Nah. Thanks for the attempted save, but I thoroughly screwed the pooch, there.

Hating on Charlatan now, for making me look bad.tongue

I'm sitting on the stairs now about halfway up to the second floor, laboriously thumbing words on my iPad. There is nothing on the second floor that I want. I have no idea why I am on the stairs at all.

Must be time for a refill.

So does she. She's whining at me because I never complained about them. I can't even remember if I wrote one or not. Probably did, but don't remember doing so.

Didn't need to write any of those, either. My mom knew someone who knew how to find where there were scholarships going unawarded because nobody applied for them. I got a list that were pretty much there for the asking.

^ Dude. Just use your fingers. And buy some flatware tomorrow.

I'm fairly certain I didn't. Department of Rehab and all that jazz. And then because I was going to CSUSB and was a member of PossAbilities I got a $500 scholarship as well, with no effort beforehand on my part, just had to go schmooze with folks willing to part with their money because "Hey! Adorable little spunky curly haired thing in the wheelchair needs money for disabled sports festival!" after school was in session. Which the professor in charge of the whole thing was surprised by. He wasn't expecting on getting the daughter of a woman who worked as a professional fundraiser for his presentation partner.

There is a thing here in the Great White North called a "mud room." I was standing in one just a minute ago staring out into the White Waste.

It was cold. Thus ends my entire interest in the call of the wild.

Mud rooms are the best rooms. Except for basements. I have an unmatched fondness for basements. We don't get those out here on the San Andreas Fault.

all of you sharp math people can design the guns I want to learn to fix. I am finding there are some acceptable gun smith trade schools much closer and cheaper then Colorado. But Colorado is the nice one. I want to be a gun smith very badly :(

There are scholarship-finder websites now, that are probably even more complete than Dorothy's lists were. But since there are scholarship-finder websites now, there are also fewer scholarships going completely unclaimed. Dorothy's list was the little 150-200-350-dollar ones from groups like The Women's Altar and Rosary Society at St Micheal's Eastern Orthodox Church", or the "Tiger Athletic Club", or like that.

^^^^^^^I will see of the 7-11 is open tomorrow and has any.

Montana is both a beautiful and depressing state. Beautiful scenery and ironically home to some horrific abuses of nature:

The Berkeley Pit. Ironically it kinda has helped make things a bit better because contaminants tend to drain out of the surrounding area and just flow directly into the Berkeley Pit, keeping it all in one place for the new processing center to handle.

Libby, Montana. The history of a small Montana town and its sad, twisted tale of stymied government, corporate mismanagement and greed, and unforeseen consequences to a small town trying to get on the map. Probably one of the most depressing films—not just documentaries but FILMS—I have ever seen. And I mean that in a good way. Some Anvils Need to Be Dropped.

Time for me to go to bed. Dingaling cat is laying on my mouse hand purring and radiating sleepy-waves at me. He knows I have no resistance to purring warm-cat sleepy-waves.

^ Yeah, the net makes it much easier to find the obscure ones. Even a half-assed webpage with the details will get picked up by the good finder-sites.

Listening to a bunch of foreign-language Disney songs at 2:30 AM.

I've really gotta stop doing this.

Yes, you inferred correctly, this is not the first time I've done this.
