I agree that gift giving is an art form, and that gift cards are an easy solution that doesn't require a lot of thought. But I appreciate the gift card to the bookstore over the ceramic cat figurine from Hallmark any day.

Neither really compares to an unexpected but well-chosen gift, though.

@Fast Eddie: I'm hesitant to say that— I haven't really noticed on the wiki itself— but there have certainly been a handful of individuals in the Just For Fun fora who were somewhat less than erudite and perhaps lacking in tact or grace.

Everything is about the same.

The "game people" are still threatening me with certain death, next quarter. I still have no idea what my girl is on about, because she is just that much smarter than me, and all the potheads I meet on the beach are still math mavens who scare the spit out of me.

Fortunately, I am on TV in the States, which makes me taller and more worthy of humping.

I have put Frost/Nixon on hold at the library. I expect it to come in some time in the middle of next year, since there's around 500 people in queue right now.
