It has been almost three days since I got back here, so that might be a possibility.
Oh hell, it's going to be a hassle if I really do have to do that. DX
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I had two spectacular classes in a row! Honestly, I was worried that I would be too tired from standing and cooking all day to act well. But both times I got up, I did great work! I got complimented by my teacher and my classmates. This is likely because I did more than the necessary amount of work.
Of course, we don't have classes next week because my teacher's unable, so now we're right back to rehearsing with our classmates. My streak is abruptly ended.
My teacher was kind enough to book the space for us anyway so it'll basically be class, with no teacher. But it won't be the same! Sigh.
It's a bad sign when a hotel provides complimentary ear plugs.
Hmmmm... when is the construction work due?
Hehe. Good guess, but actually, it's a busy street, near the train station.
Going to a cousin's wedding today, so I get to dress fancy, whoo!
Also my cousin who lives in California is gonna be there, so that's nice. Haven't seen her since Christmas.
Update: there was A FREE BAR THAT HAD MAKER'S MARK.
I may or may not be hammered at the moment.

May or may not, there is always the hangover.
Unless you, like I am right now, drink water afore bed.
I am an experienced drunk. Also the new Iron Maiden album is FUCKING AWESOME.

ahhhh sweet silence.
Littleguy has been throwing milk parties to which I am mandatorily summoned. He has yet to understand that 3am is NOT A POLITIC TIME FOR A MILK PARTY.
also, Babesie has made it very clear that any bedtime before 10pm is TORTURE.
So. my life has been fun lately (but srsly guys i am so so so so so so so so glad to not be pregnant any more)

Mark, that was completely unnecessary and childish.
I have learned that Klatchian Coffee from the Disc World series may in fact be based off of a real world substance. Apparently there are two types of tea that are close to it. The Russian Chifir and a Middle Eastern tea called Saidi. Both carry a shockingly high risk of inducing a heart attack if you aren't careful drinking them. They reportedly push awake and alert to new levels of "Oh Shit".
Who watches the watchmen? In unhappy personal news, my mother did find a dead hedgehog in our garden today. We don't know what happened to it.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSmall dead animals are so awful. I saw a dead possum on a walk once and I felt really sad.
I went to voice class today with our new teacher. She is actually combining both voice and movement, which is a little bit less stress for me, since I've had a burning desire to work on my body language and expression. Also, she is quite different from our old teacher, but still very observant and sensitive to individual needs, which are my two main concerns with any teachers. So far, I'm very happy to be learning with her.
Goddamit, I got all whiny drunk again. Well, I told myself if I did that again, I would cut myself off. So, here's to sobriety from now on. (raises mug of delicious Celestial Seasonings Apple-Cinnamon tea)
Which is delicious tea.
One of my Facebook friends, from a fanfiction group I'm a part of, apparently died yesterday of a sudden cardiac arrest. Not someone I knew well, but someone I talked to occasionally and read a few of his fics. And I think he was younger than me.
That’s the epitome of privilege right there, not considering armed nazis a threat to your life. - SilaswYeah, that happens. :/
ETA: Oh, jeez. Sorry. I didn't mean to sound so flippant.
I've known a few people who went well before their time, statistically. I got caught up thinking about statistics and bell curves and how deeply unnerving the outliers are.
Sorry for your loss. Even people we don't really know can leave a hole in our lives — which is kind of wonderful and amazing, when you think about it. Connections are connections.

Watching husband on an awkward phone call with the one seriously fucked up relative — the one who achieved brief (and deserved) Internet notoriety a while back.
It is so painful. My poor husband.
It's hard watching somebody else drown in a pool of embarrassment/ squick/ obligation/ dumbass relatives. -_-
At least it's just guilt trips. They never ask for money or anything, but it's still just awful.
Mona, we had similar family issues. thankfully, both have backed off immensely and chosen instead to be loving an supportive and kind. So that's awesome.
While we are on the subject of family...my dad started drinking again. So. that's less awesome.
DoodlesBummer. :/
This one has had drug and alcohol problems, but worse is the narcissism. Just an asshole to the core — and not even the lovable kind of asshole. It's tragic, really — like, everything you are sabotages everything you want and need. :P
My dad is a narcissist raised by a narcissist. When he's sober he's much less of a pain in the heart though.
My sister is considering cutting off contact... :/ not sure what I'm gonna do. I rarely see the guy anyway though, since he finds it too difficult to come visit me. (and im the one with 2 young kids while he is single)
DoodlesGot to take my new vest out to a party last week.
My hair hadn't really bounced back from the haircut I'd had that day.

And just to be safe: clean everything down with bleach if you can, and take the day off if possible so that you don't get it on other people.
(...Only time I'd actually recommend Bleach to anyone.)
