The Weirdoes thread is almost this, but without the support group premise. So, what are our methods for stamping it all out?

I'm not sure, but if we concentrate it all in one thread our feelings of empathy will be so strong perhaps we'll achieve instrumentality.

I see you fail to understand how angst works. Angst isn't constant, it expands to occupy all available space, so this thread won't reduce the angst in "Troper Updates", "Odd Confessions" and "Weirdos Who etc."

Well, I'm no good at personal interaction, and intimacy repels me at times, but then friendship seems so interesting and I've heard good things about it.

Dunno about you, but I get pissed when somebody decides to try to get me to laugh instead of actually trying to help.

Things don't seem to thrill me anymore. Not even thinking my birthday is a few days from now.

@Thread: To quickly sum up my issues: I hate the person I am, I worry that everything I do is pointless, I think I'm stupid, I hate my body, I have absolutely no social skills, I don't think I could ever be loved, I worry that I may never make another friend again, etc. etc.

I'll go through that all when I get back from my classes tomorrow. May be the longest post I'll ever make. Be prepared for uberangst.

Yeah, but when tropers get mopey, they often seem to refuse help as much as they can. What the hell can we do about that?
