I like how they even acknowledged that this is a totally lame way to bring that up.
Also, Oga and Hilda arguing about guitar band was hilarious.
On the other hand, that Ship Tease. I do suppose it's connected to Lamia herself growing up.
New side chapter out.
Focus is on Kunieda's feelings for Oga. Some funny moments, but I feel like this spin off will never actually give any closure to that.
The only thing notable about chapter 5 is that it made me realize I missed chapter 4, which I just read and man did Athrun make a lame reappearance. XD
I don't think Oga could possibly be that dense, so I choose to assume he just found Hebiko reallllly annoying.
Oga will be Oga.
Bear hug of death!
Last chapter of the side stories, apparently. That kinda sucks, there was a lot more that could have been with the setting.
Oga's mom hasn't aged well, has she? Or she hadn't aged well until suddenly Oga makes everything better on accident, I suppose?
Yeah, this really sucks since this doesn't feel like a story that run out of stuff to do. On the upside this was a great final chapter, definitely the best of the side stories, and one of the best overall and as a last chapter it feels thematically appropriate what with Oga getting a chance to never meet Beel and refusing that without a second though.
The time travel plot was really funny and we got an explanation for why Tatsumi's father was such a doormat. And lol at Tatsumi's intervention improving the situation. His father got ripped and his mother for some reason stopped aging.
Last but not least was Tsundere Hilda, who's just adorable.
Eh, it's a sad day knowing that no more Beelzebub will be coming out. Hopefully Tamuras next work will be just as good.
It was a callback to Back to the Future, basically.
I'll be frank, I too completely forgot that. I really think this plot needed to be more than a single special.
