A few from mine would include Dante Moneygraves, Yeshua Cunobellius, Dulcinea Thanatos, Bustamove Maximino, Flavian Wolfgang, Solomon Chronos, Death Arcana and Lancelot Artaxerxes.

And that's just the villains.

So, you have any from your works? Care to share?

Stennis. Could be an alias, for all my protagonists know. He's the villain, but after 420 pages, we're yet to even see him. (I should fix that.)

Krela Rholar is the Cool Old Guy. (wait, that don't fit the trope...)

Oh, and Guntar "Trippy" Tripp. (so named due to an old drug habit he had years ago.)

I was gonna say Damon Walker. But that sounds really plain next to those names.

Not really anyone except those in one family, the Londons, who get names that are weird because that's what they are. And because, why not? If your child is already doomed to be teased in school because of their hair, what does their name matter? tongue They have a:

  • Lucky
  • Magnus
  • October
  • Demetrius
  • Aubrey? Looks like his mother's loathing of him went back further than was known previously.

Rennalynne "Ren" Ceitinn (I can't do the accents right, but it's an Irish last name with same pronounciation as Keating): A gender-ambiguous character that has Stone Wall Healing Hands as his main strengths. Designed to spite the "pointy-haired-BFS-wielding-RPG-MC" stereotype.

Kyria von Veltheim: A Sinister Scythe-wielding Magic Knight that is a pink-haired Kuudere Pettanko assigned as Ren's guard (whew, that's a lot).

Lutely Ashcroft: A sword-wielding stoic Lady of War Badass Princess who tags along with Ren and Kyria hoping to foment a rebellion against her younger brother.

Xavier Cross: A fallen "Angel" character I made long ago, has a big cross-shaped scar on his back. Now a bounty hunter and has a werewolf that turns into a motorbike as his steed.

Alexander Creise Langerfan: From the same story as Xavier above, an "Angel" character that descended to Earth to hunt someone. Uses an armor that is shaped like a Gundam and may or may not be riding a Transforming Mecha.

"Who needs a Wave-Motion Gun if you can teleport your enemy onto one?"

Nataraj Feynman Chavali. Nat to his friends. Cleaner turned doting father-figure to a team of magical girls.

Dare Leto. Her real first name is Alasdair, but practically no one calls her that.

Llewellyn Snow. Anyone named Llewellyn who isn't Welsh is automatically in the Gratuitously Elaborate Name category.

Allora Mimis. But Allie's name is only cool if you're into bodice-rippers; otherwise it's just silly.

Ruminas Wax, a pompous duke who feels alienated by the advances of technology. He has a mute confidant named Gildt, who is actually the heir to the throne beneath the mask he always wears.

Maurice Rook, a passionless, humourless director of research working under CEO Lawrence King. Is utterly dedicated to his work, almost inhumanly so.

One of the main characters in the story I am writing right now is called Thom Eisenhorth. I'm told that "eisenhorth" is also a WOW name but since I don't know of that, I don't care. His older brother is called Ravir Eisenhorth.

"Thom" is a short form of "Thomas": twin. Of course, Thom and Ravir are, despite the age difference, incredibly alike (down to the blue hair). He's just a boy who wants to be like his older brother when he growns up, and puts down some of those daydreams in written form. "Ravir" is the french verb for "move by force" but also means "meet with joy" (as in the expression "pleased to meet you"). Who is he? The region's resident Pokémon Champion.

My other characters have far less cool names, but one of them I am fond of is called Giorgio Martacus Sinde (not related to the Sinde Laws), the best I've managed to do when having to come with middle names and the like.

For canon characters I am using, the only one I would consider cool is Clyde Arrowny  *

Artemion Travis is my personal favorite, though people mostly call him Tim.

I am also fond of Eos Whitford, but that's shorter, obscure, and more of an Author Appeal thing.

.....makes slightly more sense than "Spider Jerusalem...." I guess.

notable ones from my W.I.P include Azrale, Argent, Dr.Schlechtesel, and herr Blutstein,

It's a reference to the crusades, where Jerusalem was described as running with "two apples' worth" of blood (depth, not volume). A very fitting name for a Psycho for Hire.

Nice Germanic names. Always a good touch.

I'm still pretty proud of the name/title Captain Isaac Lamarck III. Others I've come up with and quite like the sound of include Mercury Heathers, Aaron Remus Lynwood and Kurt Hartwin.

Edit: Thinking about it, my crime fiction ideas are a wellspring of these. Besides the aforementioned Mercury Heathers, we have Elwood G. Wilfred, Lance Kendall, and Those Two Guys are called Randall and Horatio.

I make it my mission to make my characters have nothing but Awesome Mc Coolnames

In fantasy wrestling/e-fedding: Axl Evermore (r/n Axl Everett Livingstone-Michaelson), his half-brother Dan Dare (r/n Daniel Dare-Michaelson), "The Big Stiffy" Max Craven (r/n Maximo Draven, born in Casablanca, Morocco), Domino Rouge (r/n Domino Jaye Rowan), her wife Charity Bizarre, bad guy Dorian Bridges, the list goes on and on and on.

In stories: Jykku Jetty, Jykku's almost identical twin sister Jokkai Jetty, Ganache Delacroix, his brother older brother Lantis Delacroix, Gaines Boro, and a bunch more ...of course, Jykku Jetty's set in a reality meant to invoke the intentional awesomeness of Gurren Lagann...which is likely to result in Hype Backlash once I actually finish the thing and publish it. :(

Father Franklin "Shadow Seraph" Kennedy.

He's a combat priest from Southern USA, wielding a custom, Hellsing-pattern sniper rifle and whispering prayers as he kills. His character gimmick is that he hates blind acceptance of anything, including God. Knows about 17 languages. 11 are dead.

Lord Admiral Cynder Barnabas of the Southern Imperial Naval Armada!

(She was a one-shot villain in a very lighthearted roleplay called Skyrates. So much fun to play. Wound up getting eaten by a Kraken...and fighting her way out of its stomach. Ridiculous Determinator.)
