Not sure if this is the appropriate place for this, since it's a question of policy/guidelines as well as an image picking discussion, but eh. Decided not to have the tag come up on the page because of this, so Courtesy Link

Recently, on November 5th, the picture on Airstrike Impossible was changed. The original is at the bottom of this post. I don't know if the new one is better (I see two giant planes, each with a three fighter escort (one is you) and I can't tell if it's an Airstrike Impossible or just a really big fight with really big planes. The old one showed the actual "Impossible" part of the airstrike, being that you were flying through a tunnel.

However, I don't really feel that strongly that it should be changed... sure, I'd prefer the other one, but if people like the current picture that's alright. Should I just stuff it in a ImageLinks.Airstrike Impossible page? Or if it's changed, would the current one go into said Image Links page?

Whoops, forgot the link.

EDIT: Wait, should I have put this in the discussion page?

How is the new picture "Playing the trope straight"?

Airstrikes are impossible when flying through a tunnel. It's still very easy to bomb the hell out of a giant flying fortress. The whole freedom of movement thing is what makes an airstrike possible.

Yeah, I liked the old one better as well. It makes more sense, and shows how "impossible" the level seems to be.

Ah, so I'm not the only one who wants to change it back. That's cool.

I assume we leave this open for about a day or two for people to voice opinions and then make the decision?

I see the Awesomeness.
I'd say neither is good at showing the trope. The previous version is better since it's at least in some kind of tunnel.

Well, for the record, Ace Combat is the Most Triumphant Example and by far the absolute BEST source of screenshots of tunnel flying that this site will ever find... (unless you count the Millenium Falcon Death Star run.)

Do we have a Trench Run Mission trope?

Reading the description, that's pretty much what this is: flying low to the ground, possibly through a canyon, to get to a target. Or flying through tunnels to get to the target.

I'm thinking of adding it as a redirect then. Also, an actual shot from Star Wars would probably help. And we should probably get rid of all the external links.

I created a TRS thread because the page looks like crap BTW.
