Iji:

I want Kat's glasses!
Okay, thanks. IIRC the trope page currently follows the "two different weapons" hypothesis, but I'd take either one.
They Called Me Mad!! I decided to show them all; but when I looked on my works, oh mighty, I despaired: for it made me realize they were right.

Heh. Let's see how Maximum Charge General Tor vs. Massacre and plenty of Velocitor and Devastator go. Near 50 ammo for each, lv. 2 attack (kill-less run, what's the point of attack). This also lags A LOT, especially when using the BG attacks.

Also, why is there a gap between the Velocitor and Massacre? The former is no.16, the latter 18.

[up]Probably the banana gun. Very ammo-inefficient, but can reach some targets other weapons can't.

I do wonder how I got faster on my zerokill run.
2:23.36 "kill everything",
1:57.00 "kill nothing".
also, how exactly do I get to Sector Z, as you can't amass enough Tasen points to get a rocket launcher in Sector 1. (comment: never mind, I forgot they start at lv.1 not lv.0; though how you get in on Hard or above is a mystery) Reply to [down]: I got the good ending (had to really to get 0 kills) so no

Killing takes time. A no-kill run involves a lot of running. Especially if you play it sincere, rather than reflector-happy.

Also, was there any difference in how much exploration you did?

[up][up]Getting toSection Z:nothing says it has to be your rocket launcher if someone nearby has one instead.

hm, why does it fail to get past the loading screen when I try to run exe in GM5.3a, it spits out something about "registered version" and a bunch of errors, then essentially crashes to rom_main.
also, [up] somewhere, there's no room sectory or sector10 in the gmk - it skips from sector9 to sector11 (Krotera fight) - so Sector Y must be just built off Sector 1.

Heh. Maximum Charge Sudden Death Sector General Tor vs Sudden Death Iji + Velocithor. It comes down to "who can do damage first".

IRC room, I have.

[up] If you mean the .gmd, you need the registered GM 5.3A to compile it. And yes, Sector Y and Sector 1 are the same room.

So, I've been curious. Is there a specific reason why Iji's so tall? I mean, even for men 190 cm is generally not that common, at least as far as I know. Is it just so, to make the sprite scale properly, or maybe for some other reason? By the way, I've been thinking about how does she appear in comparison to other humans, but I haven't come at anything conclusive whether this is a family thing or not.

Maybe it was to make certain enemies seem terrifying in hindsight, while not making them hilariously huge. Iji's huge, but that Annihilator is still five times her size!

Yes, it was to let the enemies be big by human standards without Iji being visually smaller than everyone. Also, her apperance was partially based on a friend I had in school who was around 185 cm.

Ulti: while you're here, what's the requirement for getting a new sector to work? I'm trying to make a Sector 0, but it gets stuck on the "loading, please wait" screen.
(I do have registered Game Maker 5.3a now)

also, please explain why outfit Iji has seperate blacked out sprites than normal Iji

IRC room, I have.

There are many, many requirements for getting a new Sector to work. I haven't touched the code in ages, so I can't help you with the specifics, sorry. Start by looking through the scripts belonging to anything named "sabot" (the world controller objects).

Alternate outfit Iji has a different silhouette, hence even her blacked-out sprites are replaced.

The system doesn't know you right now, so no post button for you.
You need to Get Known to get one of those.
