Minmax be all "damn, Bigears be badass". Which he is.
It's cute that they want to help and all, but I don't see this quest to return the Axe to Hell working out unless Thunt's decided to throw the rulebook completely out the window in terms of what level 5 characters can face.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"The rulebook has been balanced precariously on the windowsill for a while now, anyway.
I was going to say that, except with the difference that it's been already thrown out of the window and burnt in the fire of Hell itself.

The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.While it's true that the rulebook has been strained ever since you could become a monk by wanting to, this does sound like a really long quest, so it's anybody's guess what level the party will be at when they get there.
First stop: A source of feather fall.
At the pace this comic is going, that'll be another decade or so.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.This could be close to the mid-point of the story, sure.

Huh. I'll be damned, a "schwillion" is a real number.
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers. That's what I get for not reading the URL first. -.-
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.Grrrrrrr.......
[Totally fooled]
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."Hoho! Nice try! I saw the url when I moused over!
I think we're missing the important question.
Is that a crown capable of making an elf maiden use the words Funky Monkey Love?
Bringing fortune-telling back...◊
Uncolored, but still present, new update.
Seems odd that they'd be able to do the fortune teller ceremony with random crap in the middle of a dungeon, but the Vipers managed to do the chief ceremony with just a chicken, so maybe the goblin god doesn't demand much on that front. Of course, they can't make a chief because they're unaware that Dies is the chief now, but having a fortune teller can't hurt.
Now you mention it, this quest would be perfect for someone fated to die horribly.
Like hell Ears is letting anybody else take that fate tho.
He already did. The prophecy is fulfilled, so his name is no longer relevant.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.Nothing says it's only going to happen once. What if he just keeps getting Rules Lawyered back to life and dying in increasingly horrible ways until he eventually dies of old age. Which will probably also be horrible.

There's a new comic without a direct link available yet. It features something green and something red.
Looks completely safe and devoid of anything that could lead to horrible death.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!I sympathize with Complains. Other than that... *shrug* I can't even speculate on what's going on here.
Yet another stupidly complicated death trap that wouldn't fly in an actual D&D campaign? It would fit the general pattern.
They killed him surprisingly easily.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.
