Welp I discovered Tokyo Ghoul which is yet another thing to add to my Nightmare Fuel yet Creepy Awesome interests.....
Hi there, old thread. You seem awfully inactive today.
If you are not very careful, your possessions will posses youNo more so than usual, I'm afraid.
Which is a shame, seeing as it is the time of year when I like to quote Ray Bradbury:
The October Country... that country where it is always turning late in the year. That country where the hills are fog and the rivers are mist; where noons go quickly, dusks and twilights linger, and mid-nights stay. That country composed in the main of cellars, sub-cellars, coal-bins, closets, attics, and pantries faced away from the sun. That country whose people are autumn people, thinking only autumn thoughts. Whose people passing at night on the empty walks sound like rain...
Let's see. This will do for a start, I think. ^_^
Wow! Awesome short!
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Am I the only one that's disappointed that there aren't more dark-sick-twisted clubs on Deviant Art for certain all-ages fandoms?
I'm a Nintendo fan and do fan art. A piece I did was rejected by the one Smash Brothers club I'm on, because, apparently, they don't like the heroes drawn as zombies. I happen to think Zombie Link and Zombie Pikachu arguing over a plate of fresh brains is fun. I want to find more "dark / twisted" art clubs for Nintendo, but I don't know where to look. I already post work on a place called Darkest Hyrule, which is Zelda-specific, and, frankly, Zelda fandom is the only Nintendo fandom where I've really found a yen for the darker side.
I want more blood and horror clubs for my "kid" games that I like as a person in my 30s, dangit! Yes, I know how creepy that makes me.
In which I attempt to be a writer....I feel like I have trouble avoiding the bloodier-and-gorier fanart, honestly. I certainly haven't had trouble finding dark art groups in general, though I don't usually follow fandom-specific groups. :/
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableThis week, I intend to lose my Takashi Miike virginity. Wish me luck, guys.
This is a signature.Good luck! Where are you starting?
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableI'm thinking about doing either Audition, or Ichi The Killer.

The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableKris Straub is here to provide you with all the unsettling feelings you need.
I'm particularly interested in Ichor Falls: A Visitor's Guide (which I didn't know had been catalogued after the site was taken down) and the new release by Eric Heisserer (the writer of The Dionaea House).
Also, if you haven't heard of Emily Carroll before, The Prince and the Sea is linked too. :D
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableI loved Audition. It's better than Misery.

In an anime, I'll be the Tsundere Dark Magical Girl who likes purple MY own profile is actually HERE!So, what do I talk about?
I am a different person onlineSeen anything good lately? :P
...I guess I'll pose a question: do different descriptors mean slightly different things to you? I watched The Machinist with someone the other day and had an argument about whether it was "gruesome" or not (I didn't think it was visceral enough to be gruesome, but I might call it grotesque)...
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableNot sure how much either part applies to me. Lately I've found myself interested in looking up scary public service announcements (made a few contributions to the Nightmare Fuel page for those). And while i don't know how much of a horror fan i am, some of the stuff I enjoy has a surprising amount of nightmare fuel.
That counts as "seen anything good lately". :)
Ooh, public service announcements reminds me - what are some unsettling things that could go on a sign or billboard in the background of a scene? Not disgusting or threatening - something like this◊.
