I have noticed that a lot of people in life have a passion for something they like. They may turn this passion into a viable career. Or they may just retain it as a hobby. Obviously a lot of the people here are probably really into some media work.

For me, my passion is Tabletop Games like Dungeons And Dragons (Although I am not too fond of 4th Edition). I find myself able to concentrate on designing rules for the new Pathfinder system(An offshoot of 3.5) for long periods of time. I enjoy creating new rules and messing with old ones. It is something I truly enjoy.

So, what is your passion?

I enjoy paper folding and reading. I enjoy learning about things. About experiences or feelings or points of view or lots of things really. That is why I read. To learn. In fact that's all I want to do with my life is learn. Just learn. I want a gigantic personal library filled with books and things of all sorts. Filled.

Constructing a vast literary creation in which pulp narrative, philosophy, action, pastiche, history, social commentary and Mind Screw meet.

Knowing how stuff works. That is my passion.

How does that one word make a sentence work? How does twisting a protein this way make a poison and this other way make a cure for a disease?

What is the why of all these small things?

Figuring out how systems work and fit together... it doesn't have to be a real thing, even. I like reading about esoteric religions because they're so complex.

Noone special.
I like most kinds of art and media in general because I like trying to figure out what makes us tick, from an emotional standpoint. "Where does a CMOA become Narm?" "Why do you watch this crap?" That sort of thing. It all connects to a general, deep-seated "Why?", which pretty much hits everything I've ever come across. There's always something to wonder about, and there always will be. When I'm in the right mood, when I pull my head out of my stupid petty teenage angst, my life is kind of awesome. I'm gunna go out on the roof and look at the stars now.

Daydreaming, learning, expression, and perfectionism.

Everything else is just some indirect mixture of the above.

I do not have one which is perhaps one of my biggest problems.

Instead I have a sort of wandering, unfocused curiosity. It's pleasant, although not terribly productive.

To seek out stories to enjoy. I'm a sucker for a good plot. I also have a passion for music, especially video game music.

Do you guys notice a trend in here? Most tropers are compulsive learners? My passion? Not so much a passion as a goal: learn as much as I can, about humanity, about how things work, and skills and how-tos. Then, use that knowledge to Change The World.

Just to matter—to you, to anyone. To exist to people other than myself and to be needed to serve some purpose.

And in whatever I do, to represent it well, honoring it and never insulting it.

Not really. Well, sort of. But not as much as

  • Art
  • Being paid attention to

My passion is my passion!

Er... to put it in other words, it's a bit of a romantic thing.
Janine Marks, a 12 year-old, was fairly normal. Janine spent a lot of time online. She felt more comfortable there.

One day she met a new friend. They liked the same bands. They worried about the same subjects in school. They promised to keep each other's secrets.

They decided to meet at the mall. Janine showed up. So did her new friend.

Only her new friend wasn't in junior high.

He was a 1500 pound, rabid grizzly bear.

1 in 5 children online gets eaten by rabid bears. And you didn't even know bears could type.
The system doesn't know you right now, so no post button for you.
You need to Get Known to get one of those.
