This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

Uh, but the things I cleared were fanon or just plain wrong, and I was perfectly willing to discuss and prove the reasoning behind my edits on the discussion pages. I had, in fact, made a post in said pages talking about said edits.
This isn't the first time I've curated the Ranma pages with some people disagreeing, but we were able to settle things on the discussion pages.

And your comments to that effect come across as an attempt at Righting Great Wrongs. When you start going on about how you will "not allow" certain content onto a page it gives the impression you are trying to take ownership of the page content, which kind of flies in the face of the collaborative nature of the wiki.

I'm one of those users who got an editing suspension, but I personally don't see what I did wrong. As far as I can remember, the only bad thing I did was suggest a trope that was basically People Sit On Chairs.
I sincerely apologize for creating that page. If it's any help, I decided to Discard it myself in response to the negative feedback the page received.
So, um... May I please have my editing suspension removed, at least for a little while? Please?

OK then what do I need to do?
Do I need to just ignore it and post on the discussion page for every line that's wrong until the person who originally posted them goes "OK go ahead and remove them?" Do I wait until we get multiple people agreeing with me in said discussion?
What's the process I need to go through to clean up a page? Do I just give up entirely because removing people's lines is just not how things are done here?

~Tristan: The process starts with bringing the subject to the table for discussion. We have quite a few venues for this, starting with the talk pages for the articles and/or private messaging to individual tropers. If that doesn't achieve satisfactory results, then Ask The Tropers or the forums may be used to attract more interest. As it stands, there is an ATT topic about this very matter, started (correctly, per our rules) by the user whom you were edit warring with, here.
Edit reasons in the article may be used to direct interested parties to the conversation. When consensus is arrived at, the article may be edited accordingly. If you can't arrive at a consensus, then we may get involved to rule one way or the other.

Hello, recently I got suspended due to "Web nanny" software and censoring of swears in articles. I removed the extension that was causing this from chrome to make sure this doesn't happen again; I apologize for the mess I left and I should have double checked the article before publishing. If anything else got me suspended then feel free to inform me.

~Zeor NLF: First, grammar is a serious issue on our wiki, and yours is way too poor to be permitted to edit. We'd have to suspend you on that at some point, so we might as well get it out of the way.
But the main reason is that you seem to be meatpuppeting a banned troper to advance their argument here.
But I wrote nothing, all I did was take down one of the tropes because I thought it wasnt right, I was replaying on another user

Also, the point is to have uniform images. Dunno, if a character is so iconic to provide trope image, maybe the entire damn point is to use the exact same image? Seems like an obvious and reasonable choice for me.
And that all goes without mentioning how big Flame Bait it is to post nuLara in the context of the whole franchise.
tl:dr it would be reasonable to go back to the original image and not trying to basically provoke an edit war.

To review: You went to a user to randomly complain at them for changing the image on a page. You accused them of deliberately changing the image in order to Flame Bait some undefined group. You then complained more when informed of the procedure for dealing with an image change, and persisted in the flame bait accusation.
