So I just found out you don't retain Demon Sources on New Game+. That's gonna take a looooong time to get everything back. :/

New Game Plus features.

Will get around to beat the final boss once my youngest sis give me back the DS.

You keep your analysis levels, don't you? So at least it's a bit easier.

I'm just annoyed that you don't keep your map data. Why was it necessary to remove that?

Actually, it'd be a lot easier if you didn't keep your analysis levels, since you're guaranteed to get a Source the first time you level a demon up after maxing its analysis. After that, you have a 2% chance, plus (I think) an extra 2% for every level the demon has over its base level. So I've either got a lot of levelbuilding to do, or a lot of resetting.

I think you keep your analysis levels, but not whether you've received the source, so you'll get it on the first level gain.

Well, the Pixie sure didn't give me anything. Worth further testing, though. *goes to level a demon*

Edit: Further testing reveals you do actually get sources regardless if you've gotten 'em before. Yay! I'm still curious why I didn't get Pixie's source the first time. Ah well.

Beaten the game for Law route! Comonad, have my very platonic love for your demons~

As for the ending, well...whoa. Very Law, as far as SMT view on it goes.

Considering going Chaos just to spite those angels  *

. Though it's kinda sad to see some of my favourite demons on the Law's side, like Pallas Athena or the other Megami demons.

Chaos does a pretty bad job of representing itself this time around, at least before the decision point. Usually it's along the lines of "YHVH is a jerk, let's go beat him up", but this time it's more "Hey, wouldn't it be cool if demons killed you all?"

At least Neutral looks better compared to Law and Chaos, even if there's the possibility of another mess (humans are humans). Seeing the Law ending almost made me consider Chaos, leaving Neutral for last.

I got this game two days ago for a vacation.

I'm already frustrated and I haven't left Sector Antiles.

I am beginning to regret this purchase.

The gauntlet of Oni right before the boss. I probably just need to grind more.

Onis are weak to electricity. Whenever encountering a new enemy, hit it with all elements at your disposal.

Also, I'm trying to end up with a law team because that's the route I'm going this time and I'm in the mall. Result? I've got a tree woman, a plant woman, a goddess of fortune, a bald woman, and something else that I can't quite remember, but is definitely female. It feels like I ended up unintentionally pimping.

Meanwhile my neutral demons consist of animals and a dwarf. Oh, and I got a naked man as a my chaotic demon (only for the recarm spell).

The emotions of others can seem like such well guarded mysteries, people 8egin to 8elieve that's how their own emotions should 8e treated.

Well, Law got the Nymph and Megami clan. Chaos got the Lady clan. And I forgot Neutral.

Meanwhile, going through Sector E on my NG+. Currently Neutral. Might change to Chaos later...or not. Am not looking forward towards a certain plot-required mission. YOU KNOW WHICH ONE.

Something just occurred to me.

You can encounter White Rider in the area patterned after a garbage dump.

What do you suppose the odds are that this is a nod to Good Omens? I say it's at least 50/50.

Doesn't seem likely to me. White Rider (Pestilence) makes sense in a garbage dump, and I wouldn't expect Pratchett and Gaiman to be big in Japan.

I haven't read Good Omens myself, and I have no idea on the popularity of it anywhere, let alone Japan, but I would like to point out that the White Rider is Conquest, not Pestilence... and that's something that's pointed out within the game, to boot.

So, uh, maybe?

Edit: Okay, having done some checking around, I see what GG Crono was getting at... but, since this game's White Rider is still Conquest, I'd say that cuts into the possibility of its appearance in Delphinus being a shout out. It's probably just a coincidence, I'd say.

Hope you guys don't mind the bump, but, question?

I'm trying to farm up Snake Scales. Is there a better place to hunt Orochi than the dark places in Hologrium 1F?

Been playing this game for a few weeks now, and am currently on Carina (the department store dungeon). Fucking demon conversations, how do they work?

They work like everything else in this game: Complexly.

Hit up Game FA Qs, I recall an in-depth database of the demon personalities and how to sweet-talk any of them.

I enjoyed conversating with the demons personally. I think this had my favorite demon negotiations in the series. Still haven't beaten that friggen final boss though. It's been awhile since I've played.

Taking a break from FE1, for the FE8 draft instead
