There should be a link to the Getting Known page from the forum top. As it is, you have to Google the page if you want to log in, which is annoying.

Or, you could go to a main wiki page, open the Tools menu on the left, and click "Get Known".

If you're already going to a main wiki page, you might as well just use the "login" button on the top of the screen.

The Tools menu, with "Get Known" link is available to you almost anywhere on the Wiki except the Forums. How do you guys normally get to TV Tropes, just out of curiosity?

Well, on the forum, if you aren't logged in, then at the bottom of each thread there's a notice with a link to the Get Known page.

As for how I normally navigate: I have both the homepage and the forum main page bookmarked in my browser. If I know the name of a specific wiki article I want to read, then I pull up the mainpage and replace the relevant portion of the url with the title, or use one of the search functions to find it.

I type "tvtropes.org/pmwiki/topics.php" into my address bar, because my memory for such things is pretty good.  ^*

I get to pages with my watchlist, generally, or if I'm looking for something specific than the Google search. If I know the name, I just type in "tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TropeName".

I doubt that anybody else does this.
