Honestly, that'd be the best thing ever.
I've got two guns pointed west and a broken compass.Excellent!
Swordsman Troper — Reclaiming The Blade — WatchWould it still star Keanu? If so then yes.

...Am I the only one who doesn't like this idea? I mean, Bogus Journey already wasn't that great.
This is still better than the Bill and Ted remake that was apparently in the works for a while.
Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone.Excellent Adventure was better than Bogus Journey, yeah, but the latter was still acceptable. And had plenty of shining moments of its own.
I'm not sure what sequel ideas could be made to work... but, I'm sure a good idea is deviseable.
Whether the project will proceed, and whether the result will be non-heinous, is of course uncertain. Still, I'm up for giving it a chance.
Hmm... now my mind's churning with thoughts of what a third movie could do...

Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?^ This. Excellent Adventure was better, but Bogus Journey was no slouch, either.
Only question is what a B&T3 would entail. Since they've already done temporal travel and metaphysical travel, the only thing I could think of is space travel...

Like... Mars?
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?Uranus, Dude.
It'd be odd having Bill & Ted: 20 years later.. I'm definitely not against the idea though.
...is out to lunch.YEAH!!

Because I choose to.I preferred Bogus Journey, but even I admit that the ending kinda sucked.
I think they should go back in time and accidentally prevent rock & roll from ever being invented. Then they have to travel to the creation of the earth, and beat the Neglectful Precursors in a battle fo the bands to convince them to hard-code ROCK into the DNA earthlings when they seed the planet with life.
And then they go back and make out with the babes, who are just fine in the present-day even though they've throughly FUBAR'd the timeline by now.

Except that it actually averted San Dimas Time by having them come back from their two years of training in mere seconds.
The fight between the Good Robot Uses and Evil Robot Uses was pretty anticlimactic and Station was a bit too much of a butt-joke for my taste. The Stable Time Loop fight bit with the cage and the gun was the only good part, really.
"The secret we should never let the gamemasters know is that they don't need any rules." - E. Gary GygaxAs long as they don't bring Station back and start saying "station" as slang all the time. God that was annoying.
But it might be cool to see an adult Bill and Ted. And it's good to see that Keanu doesn't view the films as Old Shame anymore (I heard he did for a while)
My tropes launched: https://surenity2.blogspot.com/2021/02/my-tropes-on-tv-tropes.htmlI feel this is kind of relevant.
Also, according to Wikipedia and it's citations, Winter and Reeves are both involved, Carlin won't be recast (so no Rufus, I guess), and whoever mentioned prehistoric times might've been on to something.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.NOW I'M PUMPED! Excellent!
You guys like Let's Plays? You guys like shameless plugs? Well, come on down!Well, of course Carlin won't be recast :/

Good to hear the original actors are involved and stuff, but they are aging. Granted, since they looked like ZZ Top at the end of Bogus Journey, I don't think that'll matter much, but still, they'll probably have to consider recasting. Hopefully, the Lost Boys sequels aren't anything to go by when it comes to this.
This is what the plot should be.

I hope they won't need recasting. I'm hoping for a movie that shows the famous Bill and Ted even as they have grown older, and are world famous for their music. Society will be changing due to their band, but emotionally, they would be the same, and maybe part of the conflict could come from their immature personalities.
You guys like Let's Plays? You guys like shameless plugs? Well, come on down!It won't work with a recasting. That's for direct-to-dvd sequels.
I'm a skeptical squirrelIf this movie were going to be made right, it would've been produced fifteen years ago. 2012 and beyond is just way too damn late.
So, Keanu said something about it in passing at the Oscars, and recently it was brought up again during a conversation with MTV.
Does anyone else here get giddy at the idea of a third Bill and Ted movie, or am I just a tad crazy?
