All kids need to know is to drink a glass of drugs every day, stay in milk, and don't do school.
Morgi, I'm going to have to sue you for the damage you did to my sides.
All I have is a mortgage though.
Can't watch that show. Violently allergic to cutesy musical numbers. Start sneezing and coughing in F Major. It's terrible, I swear.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.I first started watching FIM a few months into the first season; this was early enough to get me called a "veteran"...less than a year later!
FIM is ok.
But that's my opinion on a lot of things. I rarely get excited or gushing over anything.
I get excited and gushy over things easily. I'm ultra-enthusiastic...
I watched it before I even knew there was a brony fandom.
Seriously, I'm not kidding, I just flipped it on one day because even little kids' shows are (usually) preferable to total silence and a dark screen and... I was hooked.

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerI've been hooked on weirder shit than MLP:FIM...like my weird love-hate relationship with 101 Dalmatians: The Series.
I don't know why that exists; no one's making me watch it...
Should I get back into FIM? I don't have pay TV anymore and I've only seen a handful of episodes from season 4...

Don't. It's not worth it anymore.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerI've been kinda allerigic to ponies since day 1, it was too cute for me.
it didn't help when the Abhorrent Admirer Fans started exploding out of the woodwork and being horrifically annoying.
"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"Yep... the days when "20% cooler" was a meme are days I will not miss.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerThe only part of that meme I really liked was the Ken Ashcorp song and Alex S' remix of it.
I've always been a bit irked at Rarity's unpopularity. She was my favorite pony in part because I want to be a graphic designer and saw her as a role model of sorts.
The tendency of fan work to turn Twilight Sparkle into an Audience Surrogate for the bronies never sat well with me either, but I've given traits of myself to existing characters in fanfic so I'm sort of hypocritical...
Sorry to just bust into this, but I got a new pic! c:
Dayum, you could illustrate comic books with that art style. o_0
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerI agree! Tairu Panda's artstyle is simply amazing c:
Oh, I uploaded it onto my profiles, if anyone is interested:
Sorry for the double post, but I got something from Tairu again:
https://www.weasyl.com/character/36203/jaryl-garen
It's a reference-sheet of Jaryl :D
I need to get a more updated referance for my fursona, I guess.
One of my webcomics is down. >_<
"Your" as in you made or you read?
Read.
It's called Ozy And Millie, and it's probably one of the best webcomics ever.
It is indeed a delightful comic. Simpson's newer comic Heavenly Nostrils is also lovely, if fluffier and even more episodic.
The site is down? Any news on why?
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.Ozzie and Millie, one of the few things that avoid the furry hate. Somehow.
I mean, you apparently can't draw cartoon animals even if you have no idea what the fuck a furry is without getting the internet hate machine riled up. It's surprising that comic avoids it.

While I still closely follow the show, I kind of agree in that the season I thought was most consistently good was the first one. But later seasons gave us episodes like "Sisterhooves Social" and "Sleepless in Ponyville", two of my favorites, and Discord's reformation turned out to be more nuanced than I thought.
I think part of the problem is the format; there are only so many Aesops you can do before you start to repeat yourself.
