- Sigh*...This is gonna be Andronique all over again, isn't it Tats?
10 bucks says Tats is gonna make Libby ambiguously lesbian and hook her up with Sapphire or some other single girl.
P.S. I'm half-joking.

Careful with the half jokes man! I'm half convinced Tats actually uses our sarcastic recommendations as ideas for what to do next!
im more worried about her floating in her last panel.
when she gain that ability?!
Considering that the only other people with technicolor skin are devil people, and they have rather prominent horns and tails, you'd think it would be easy to track her down.
I'm at least a bit curious to see where Tats is going with this storyline. Only gripe I really have with it so far is that it's men chasing a woman around. Why didn't he use the female news anchor who was already shown to be too dedicated in bringing a story out for people to see?
I don't think she's an anchor. More the team leader at the station or whatever you call that position.
It's a moot point anyway. The women in Sinfest are all part of the same hivemind remember? They'd NEVER do anything to intentionally hurt another woman.
Y'know, I just had a thought. Did Tats EVER go to High School, or did he just forget about it? I ask this because from what I remember from my own experiences the girls were just this side of being a pack of vipers at times. They were CONSTANTLY dissing and sniping one another over some of the weirdest stuff. They were always so passive aggressive about it too. "Oh, you got the cake huh? I wish I had the self confidence to eat what I wanted and not care about my weight" sort of deals.
Basically, Tats seems to have this weird idealized vision of women and how they interact with one another that just isn't really THERE in reality.
You mean Amber?
Hmm, maybe the dudebros are worried that if a girl reported on this, she'd side with Libby and defend her.

I forgot she had a name, but that's the one I meant.
Is just me or Sam is looking awfully young there?
It's his glasses, he doesn't have them on.
I think this is the first time we've seen Sam without his glasses.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Wait... if Sam is there and alone and sad in his bed... whose responsible for the spies chasing Liberty?
His security team who don't like seeing him sad?
so...
how does this work for the metaphor?
It doesn't. At all.
Tats is just a moron who fails at keeping his own metaphors straight.

Personally, I really liked this update.
I think the metaphor is that Sam(the U.S.) is incapable of really bringing freedom to other people(foreign nations) when he doesn't have Liberty(freedom) himself. Like calling American interventions in other countries. I wouldn't be surprised if this whole subplot has just been leading up to this moment.
If that's the case, I think it's the best metaphor he's done in a long while.

Aw, why can't she just make like an actual android and dream of electric sheep?

Not bad. Too bad we've already sen something very similar to this with the second Fembot.
So, now robots can dream?
Excuse me, are these robots (as we have been shown again and again) or human beings? Tats, make up your mind!
They probably dream of cyborgerized sheeps.
You know, to keep up the confused metaphor.
As long as Tat doesn't decide to dabble in animal rights and insist that the cyborg sheep are free-range or something because vegans go hand in hand with women as being obviously superior.
Dammit Tats. This is the sixth comic (out of seven since the Liberty storyline started) in a row to have a female (or fembot) accosted by male pursuers, including a big Sunday comic. We get it. Men are creepy and horrible. Move on.
And why would a machine be able to dream? Don't you have enough ways to show them having angst over men already?

It's kinda funny how for apparently being a huge feminist, all of Tat's female characters regularly fail the Bechdel test. (Taking the newspaper comic limit format into consideration, consider 1 scene/conversation to be about 2-4 strips in which that character appears and is talking).
