Every semester except last year at this time has been like you Hermie,...I didn't fail. But every class I was forced to sacrifice and get a C so that I wouldn't F up Math or bomb up an Arogyasami class (Professor of those science classes)

And in one case,I did fail,...the other paid off,...and this current semester,...I'm scared it'll be the first.

The semester without Math or Science,A's everywhere

Pretty much the same thing here.

Except I'm still a huge idiot and I still don't pay attention during class or work to train and learn.

I know some of my problems are caused by my ADHD, but I also know some of them are cause by me just not putting in enough effort, and that frustrates me. I'm still stuck in the mentality of "Oh, it'll be fine." No it won't!

It's mostly because that's how damn hard and time consuming Math and Arogyasami classes were,...with any other subject,I could easily get A's,...I just lack the time to read the stuff.

My college has an annual singing-talent competition called Indian Idol (After our mascot).

It's every week in April, I believe. Last week was rather mediocre, but this week was excellent.

They uploaded videos of the performance online.

The show starts about twenty minutes into the first video.*

I'm warning you in case you decide to listen with headphones. The first girl appears to have no upper limit to her volume.

First Half/Second Half

This week's theme was Movie Songs.

We have something like that as well,...but it's lame.

This week like every week but the last since "Spring" Break has freaking sucked hard,I mean seriously three projects just lined up like that?

In the end I was forced to ax one for Stagecraft just to stay on top,...and it turns out I'm a week late on Math, which I have a test for tomorrow morning at 10.

Now, how to make the most of my study break I wonder?

At least I've made a list of what I need to do. Now I just need to stop procrastinating.

Second semester German has made me hate it so much. I'm really really glad I don't have to take it ever again ever

One week until the first final,...which regrettably is Math,...This Is Gonna S Uck

Now for the positive,I'm gonna be done with Creative Writing, which while I do enjoy it,it's one class out of my hair and more studying time on others

[up] And I was right,....I'm pretty much sealed to failure unless I can somehow make up 10 percent or a miracle strikes me when the final comes.

All because of one project that I accidentally turned in a week late.

Gaddamn this class!

=> Get email back from housing department about the 2013-2014 school year

=> "All juniors and seniors who applied for on campus housing are on a wait list due to the large number of applicants."

...Uh.

I know nothing about getting housing off campus? They provided a link in the email talking about off campus housing but I don't. Know how? Like, how would I pay for off campus housing? I head back home for the summer, I'd have to find a place and a job to pay for the rent in another state. And I don't have a car? So I'd be boned if it weren't within walking distance? I don't know how to rent apartments either, don't you need credit or tax forms for that? Generally adult things that I don't understand??

Well, if your city has public transport, the no-car thing should be a non-issue.

Can't you ask your parents for some help?

We have a pretty good bus system and yeah, I could ask my mom for help.

(Although I'm in drawing classes with involve huge things of paper and portfolios... I imagine it'd be difficult getting those on a bus.)

[up][up] Yeah, that could be a problem. But between getting them on a bus and walking to school while carrying them, I thing the bus would be better. Or do you have subways in your city? I'd think it'd be less of a hassle, since I frequently see people with their bike taking the metro. I can't imagine your papers being much worse to get on the metro than a bike.

Or can't you rant a locker at your College? You could put some of your papers in there so that you don't have to carry them all, all the time.

We don't have a metro, but the locker idea seems very possible.

@Hermie My College didn't have Residence and just gave us a list of places that were relatively close, and were renting, with the contact information, general terms, and distance from the College. Do you have access to anything like that?

Hermiethefrog Since: Jan, 2001
#4870: Apr 20th 2013 at 12:49:41 PM

They linked us to a page with "tips" and websites where you can find housing like Craigslist and the City Pages. We have a bulletin board where people will post rent options too, but from what I've seen those are more recent and I don't think I'd find something for next school year.

So no. No lists of places you can rent from. I apparently have to do that on my own. From another state.

If this just happened to all the on-campus rising Juniors and Seniors in your school, I guarantee you aren't the only person in this position right now. Ask around the other people who lived on campus this year. My school did something similar this year and several chunks of on-campus people pretty much just relocated en masse to a nearby apartment complex. If you go with a group you might even be able to circumvent the transportation issue.

Ugh, have another field report due for ecological anthropology in two weeks.

I need someone I can interview about environment shit that I can BS. Unfortunately I interviewed the person at my college who's in charge of energy and shit for the last field report, so I have to go off campus.

There's a church pretty close to here that takes food donations, hm...
