Kyon: Big Damn Hero:

Yeah I know. But we will never be able to see Nagato, Kyon, and Tsuruya beat up yakuza thugs...sad
Wait a minute... Mamiko Noto (Tomoe) VS Kanae Itō (Airi)?

Personally I would choose Kanae Itō for the role.

You know what I would like to see happen in K:BDH, but I know that it is a virtual impossibility? Mikuru dressed as a Biker Babe (full suit and helmet), riding in on a cool bike (possibly as a Big Damn Heroes moment), and The Reveal upon her removing the helmet afterwards will surprise someone (most likely Kyon, since I doubt that he would expect that, of all things)...  *
My mission: to gather all of the Trope-tans and make New Tropeia a tropey place.
Eheheh...
I've seen exactly one story where Kyon rides a bike. It's also the one other story I've seen involving Yakuza. Part one, which is finished and part two which isn't. Said stories aren't particularly upbeat.

And the first story also has Kyon as a vampire...

Seriously though, the previous post that I made about Mikuru would be a nice Shout-Out... (not to mention kinda cool...)

Eheheh...
So does the second. Not to mention he's the only vampire in that... and Neutral Evil, to boot.

Cool but incredibly unfitting of Mikuru's personality. Kyon, I can see  *; Yuki, I can see; Haruhi, I can definitely see that... but not Mikuru.

I could see that sort of thing happening as a more elaborate costume thing. Haruhi doesn't really dress up Mikuru much any more, but I could see that happening.

Besides, who says you can't be a biker and a yamato nadesico at the same time? Belldandy spends her fair share of time on a motorcycle...

Kanae Ito as Kanae? I haven't heard her voice enough to know if I'd prefer her over Mamiko  *.

Anyone else have any other preferences?

And I'm with Pax; if Belldandy can be a Biker Babe, I don't see why Mikuru couldn't.

Make the bike a moped. That still counts, right?
Is it God Knows...?
Eheheh...
Mikuru has the disadvantage of being... well, Mikuru. It's because of how easily scared she is, not how nice.

What about adult!Mikuru though?

That I can see: a motorcycle can just be an impressively noisy form of transportation, and adult!Mikuru has the presence and authority to pull it off.

That said, Durandall is too skilled a writer to make her pull any Biker Chick tropes that would not fit her character. So, for instance, we won't see her charge in guns blazing, no over-the-top stunts, et cetera.

Except maybe in an Imagine Spot.

O' Allah, save Egypt
Maybe she has a secret fantasy of being "bolder", someone mentions that being a real Biker Babe needs serious guts and boldness, one thing leads to another....

Then Kyon sees her, and BAM! She starts panicking, getting flustered, and going "It's not what it looks like!", etc.

Since we're on the topic of vehicles, does it seem more likely that Kyon, when he learns to drive, will be a Badass Driver with Drives Like Crazy tendencies or without?

I also have a suspicion that, once he's learned, Haruhi would persuade Nagato to make him use the training sessions in order to learn how to drive anything.

A Universal Driver's License eh? I could see that.
Eheheh...
Sometimes even alien spaceships fall under this rule, though not always.

Think they would?

On an interesting note, if Kyon held that license, he'd be  * a Badass Longcoat, Badass Biker, Badass Driver, and possessing Improbable Piloting Skills.

If we mix in the Gender Bender WMG, there's also Cute Bruiser.

To whom it may concern, a new chapter of Later is out.

Oh God, I have something in my eye...

Eheheh...
I don't think I've ever cried because of fiction.

It is rather a gloomy chapter, isn't it? Ah well, no-one else has died.

Thats interesting. Nothing but fiction can make me cry. My friends think I'm pretty much heartless, and are freaked out when they see me crying at movies.
Eheheh...
Eh, only thing that's made me cry for years is laughing too much. Before that? A dog dying. Before that, way too much. Way, way too much.

Fiction's come close, occasionally. Closer than a funeral I was at last week, where I just wanted them to hurry up.

Good fiction can do that. Really good pieces of music can do it, too—I admit to tearing up the first time I heard Tender Oblivion after watching the film and reading along to the lyrics. Strangely, some of the most emotional pieces of music I know are purely instrumental pieces.

Dear You ~Bond~ nearly managed it. Then I slipped back to despairing over human nature. Weird, really - everyone I know is pessimistic and cynical. I know a lot of people.

I'm weird. I've never cried tears. My parents thought something was wrong with me as a baby because of it. Nothing's got me teary-eyed but I have felt sad lots of times.

I think my sister stole my crying gene because I never cry and she's been known to cry at particularly sappy commercials.
