So, a new collaboration between Saber Interactive and Paramount. It's coming out in 2018, so it's probably a tie-in to the film sequel.

It looks like Left 4 Dead lite.

I hate those movie World War Z zombies that flow like some kind of tide. Tyranids or zerglings I can see smashing against buildings en mass and raising a living pillar, not human zombies.

I really want a zombie game with slow zombies. All of them. No spitting zombies or giant zombies, whatever. Just slow shambling corpses. Easy to kill, provided there's only a few and not, oh thousands.

It's terrifying, yeah, but the WWZ zombies weren't like that. They were the regular shambling hordes whose only threat was in sheer numbers.

[up]Durability was another strength of the zombies in the books. Their blood coagulated into such a thick, gooey mass that it served to help minimize the damage done by shrapnel or concussive force, and that's not touching how the usual rule of "headshots = guaranteed kill" was occasionally subverted if the bullet didn't do enough brain damage.

Not to mention people underestimating them. There are a bunch of mentions in the book (and its audio version) about some people - or whole governments - underestimating the threat and paying dearly for it.

Yonkers comes to mind.
