I haven't watched the anime but I really enjoyed the manga.
The first anime is good. It's not identical to the manga in terms of characterization but I love the art design and somber feel. Teatrino is worth skipping, however.
I want a new adaptation that does the entire series, but I have heard neither anime did well in Japan so that won't happen.
One thing I love about the anime was that it made a whole story of what had just been a page in the manga; Elsa's life and breaking point. It made the later scene with Henrietta reenacting what happened and the others' reaction to it all the more poignant.
"Love me or I'll shoot you."
"What a century this week has been." - Seung Min KimI'm watching the first season now. I seem to have a knack for picking anime that are in some way incomplete.
I like the somber tone to it but it's definitely slow-paced. Had to keep reminding myself that Henrietta wasn't in the scene and that I was looking at Rico - these girls are all a bit soft-spoken but they could have done more to differentiate the two.
Henrietta seems a lot less... shy by the third episode. I can't tell why that is.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Is it safe to say that the franchise is set in the early 2000s?
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"Actually never mind.
Seems like someone made a thread to show that it was set in the early 2000s.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"Gunslinger Girl is back with an upcoming collaboration with Mobile game Girls' Frontline.
Was able to read the entire manga at last.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"
There's no Gunslinger Girl thread. That's not right.
