Now hurry up and grab a steak, these are already medium rare and I can use the grill space to throw a few more on."

Grendan was currently off swimming... or perhaps it would be more accurate to say that HEATH was swimming, and Grendan was getting dragged along for the ride. Obviously, he didn't have much to add to the conversation at the moment.
Astra, meanwhile, looked absolutely miserable under an umbrella, perhaps due to the fact that they were still wearing their robes. "Uuuuugh... sooo hooot..." they mumbled dizzily.

"Alistair is right you know. It doesn't truly matter at the moment" came Kiri's voice from a woman. in a black swimsuit, nobody in the party would recognize unless they looked close. Their manner of speech and the three extra scaly appendages gave her away though. She grabbed the rarest steak off the grill with her bare hands,not seeming too bothered by the heat, and started to rip into it with her teeth. "....I don't know what this volley ball is though" she said through a chunk of meat that was obviously too big for her mouth, not that that was making her give up on it.
Sophia for her part was lying on her stomach on a beach towel, enjoying the warmth and slowly being lulled to sleep by the natural elements.

Zeera felt unusually hungry at the moment, so she took one of steaks, placed it on a plate, and began to eat with whatever was available. It wasn't quite like the stuff she used to have, but it was serviceable.
The warmth of this place made her feel a bit at home, even if the air was a bit humid.
While eating, Zeera's eyes swept along the beach, eventually focusing on one of the caves further down.

Damien is relaxing by the beach, enjoying his steak and watching the ocean waves roll in. The last time he enjoyed the view was when he got stranded like a maroon that one time. Fortunately, the others are around in case things were to go south.
Surprisingly, he's wearing a more concealing shirt and shorts. Even Damien needs a break from his clan's armor once in awhile.

Vera looked over her shoulder and down the beach. She could have swore she heard Kiri talking, but she didn't see her. In fact, the only nearby person on the beach she didn't recognize was... no, was it? It couldn't be. Still, she wasn't an expert on dragons.
"It's a game of skill and strength," she said. "The goal is to slap your ball into your opponent's court. You aren't allowed to hold onto the ball once it's moving, and if you can get it to land inside the lines on the other court, you get a point. If it lands in your court, or you hit it under the net, or if you were the last one to touch it before it lands anywhere else, your opponent scores instead."
"You know girl, you don't talk much. Frankly, sometimes it scares me. But you know what? If you like steaks like that, you're alright in my book," Gramps said to Zeera.
Over at the umbrella, Athena trotted by Astra, then came to a stop. With a quick whinny, she flapped one of her wings briefly to send a breeze towards the little dragon.

Then the others began talking about volleyball, which caught Damien's attention. Finally, there was a suggestion that encouraged the concept of friendship between various group members.
However, they already seemed to get along with each other already. Still, a little game would help ease the tension, right?
Damien glances towards Vera and Kiri and asks, “Did you mention volleyball? If you did, I'm all for it.”
"We need at least four...." Vera said, idly playing with the ball as she thought.
Scanning the beach, she saw that immature little dragon... boy (at least she thought it was a boy?) wasn't doing anything.
She threw the ball at Xel and shouted. "Get over here, battle of the sexes, you and the new boy against the two of us."

Astra waved the invitation off, mumbling something about getting dizzy as a thoroughly waterlogged Grendan washed up on the beach, sans Heath.

Before the upcoming match, Damien does a set of warmup stretches. If one were to pay attention to Damien while he's doing this, he's singing a hot-blooded song
in order to get himself pumped up.
Damien spots a drenched Grendan and attempts to help him up. Guess that swim must've taken a lot out of him. “You alright, man?”

Grendan was too busy coughing up water to respond back properly. In any case, Damien helps Grendan over to a safe place. That's what a friend would do, right?
2 Spooky 4 U
Xel had taken quite nicely to the warm summer rays and was enjoying being in dragon form as he laid on the ground, absorbed the heat, and napped in total peace....until a fucking ball hit him. Eyes snapping open, Xel asked grumpily to Vera, "And why me? Can you not see I'm attempting to gain as much of this sun energy as I can before we are forced to return to fighting weak spineless fools? Why don't you get Railen to help you?" and then Xel closed his eyes again as he added on, "I'm sure he would enjoy such silly games..."
Which was perfect timing for Railen to use the lazy scaled body as a jumping board and land right in front of Vera. Currently he was wearing blue swim trucks, had a beach towel tied around his neck that went to about the middle of his back, and a wide black pair of magical goggles that allowed one to see underwater. "Well, if you need another boy to join in, I'm up for the task!" announced Railen to her, quickly adding on teasingly, "But only accept me playing if you want really to lose."

"Hmmmph," Vera hmmmphed, looking at Railen. "If you insist. Go round up Damien so we can start."
The gentle sound of waves crashing in the distance washed over the beach like the salt water over its ivory sands. The water sparkled in the afternoon sun, reflecting dancing patterns on the undersides of the palm fronds and rocky caves that lined the beach, and the soothing breeze carried the mouth-watering scent of a barbecue from somewhere nearby.
A young woman picked herself up from the sand, letting its grains play across her half-bare skin in a tickling shower as she shook her head and took in the view.
"How in blazes did we get here?" Malia demanded incredulously of no one.
