I lean toward 16.1 but I can live with either.
16.1 shows more of the darkness, so I prefer it over 16.2.

Freddy in the dark may be creepy to some at a glance but it doesn't imply impending death to me without foreknowledge of the game. Unfortunately I don't have a good suggestion at hand for replacement.
