What is the point of this? There are several cases where this renders all the other spoilers completely irrelevant. If it's gonna be the rule, then associated spoilers in the affected works should all be removed as well.

The point of this is that we have a cardinal rule on the wiki: articles being readable is a higher priority than articles not revealing spoilers. If a user has to reveal a spoiler-tagged example to understand whether they should read it or not, then it's done wrong.

  • On work articles, never spoiler-tag trope titles. This is an absolute rule, and not following it will get you suspended.
  • On work articles, avoid spoiler-tagging entire example descriptions. There are ways to write around spoilers that leave enough context for readers to understand whether they want to look at them or not.
  • If the result of these policies leaves a large quantity of untagged spoilers, then put a bold Here there be Spoilers warning in the description.
  • On trope articles, be aware of the context. Certain tropes, including most Death Tropes and Ending Tropes, are inherently spoilers and as such these articles should be free of spoiler tags. They have a prominent warning in the header not to read further if you don't want to be spoiled.

IMO we really should have a rule to put ending tropes and or death tropes at the end of the trope list with its own little warning 'spoiler tropes ahead'.

I like reading trope pages for works I havent seen yet to get a taste of what its about but the second there is like ""Everyone Dies" Ending" in the middle of the trope list since it starts with "E" whats the point....

Doesn't work. People look for tropes in alphabetical order. Putting separate spoiler sections into the article just confuses things.
