I saw the first few episodes of Season 1 it was pretty good.
It is based on a comic book from IDW.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureIs it really worth watching? It keeps turning up on Netflix but the premise sounds kind of weird....
Supernatural Monster of the Week type of show?
Set dressing as Wyatt Earp's great-granddaughter is weird, but no weirder than "Two gorgeous brothers drive a Cool Car and fight monsters. Ho Yay, fanservice, gore, and angst abound"

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!I was looking up a list of Western-fiction gunslingers to pit against Eastern ones and... Wynonna Earp came up.
The biggest thing I've heard about this show is that the sister is apparently a scene-stealer.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!It is pretty good.
Although, gotta say, it feels a heck of a lot like someone binged all of Buffy, then read a really good critique of the problems with Buffy, and then set out to write "Buffy 2.0".
Fairly successfully.
The black badge is the initiative, only less stupid (in all senses), Wynonna is a very grown up woman which avoids the problems of sending children out to fight demons... And you know what, I am pretty sure Waverly is heading down some path to dark power for the greater good that is not going to turn into a hamfisted addiction metaphor.
Also, it does not hurt that officer Haught is fire.
TLDR: Did you love buffy, but were also annoyed by some of the problems with it? This will jump up and down on that itch wearing shoes made of bristles.
In season 2 Black Badge feels more like Wolfram & Hart. It's such a good show, though. They even do tie-ins, like Nicole's tumblr blog (theroadtopurgatory.tumblr.com) or her case files (www.purgatorysd.com).
I really wonder what the thing that took over Waverly and now Wynonna even is...

"Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man; and his number is 0x29a."Didn't know about those, thanks :) Happen to know the password to Nicole's tumblr? (yes, I tried "Waverly" and that's not it)
"Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man; and his number is 0x29a."S3J-A0E. It's the license plate on her squad car.

So...gave it a try, couldn't make it through the first episode....are the dialogues that bad all the way through?
It's a Western version of Buffy so....yes. But, honestly, the first couple of episodes are terrible.
It doesn't become Wynonna Earp my addiction until Doc Holliday arrives.

Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.Question: is Melanie Scrofano actually pregnant and they had to find a way to make that fit into the plot ASAP or was it part of the scenario all along ?

"Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man; and his number is 0x29a."Melanie Scrofano was already pregnant when they started shooting season 2 and gave birth shortly after they finished. It wasn't in the original plan
Finally got a chance to binge. Honestly, this season started out slow, but it's really been picking up.
Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?The first half of Season 2 felt like they were not so much inspired by Buffy as blatantly ripping it off, which made no damn sense because Season 1 had its own thing. Also, they were twenty-five and twenty-eight year women so there's no sense in doing high school stuff.
Then the second half got back to being Wynonna Earp.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters. So, i heard about this show and recently I got around to binge it.
Damn, it's addicting. It needed a while to find itself (which show doesn't?) but by episode 4 I was hooked. #5 is right, Waverly is a scene stealer. I read somewhere that Dominique (the actress) originally auditioned for the role of Wynonna but got this role instead. I have to say, she got the better deal. She has way more opportunity to show her potential as Waverly. Not to say that the role of Wynonna doesn't have it's challanges, but it suits Melanie better.
The one thing I was bummed about in season 1 was Willas death. I could see it coming (thanks TV Tropes ) but it still was sad, mostly because she seemed to have been manipulated by multiple sources for most of her life.
Can't wait for season 3. Also I've seen all of Buffy. What about season 2 reminded you of it?
You lost! So, does nobody here care for season 3?
You lost!I mean, I'm binging it on Netflix. But I don't have cable to watch it live so I feel like a bad fan right now.
Currently airing on the Syfy channel in it's second season, the great-granddaughter of Wyatt Earp fights the demons of the outlaws Wyatt killed.
It's a fun series and the most pleasant surprise I've seen on TV in awhile.
