I also think that Bardock's looking pretty disappointing.
It was inevitable really. As interesting a character he is, he doesn't really ever bring anything to the table in terms of fighting.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"BUT HE IS A BRILLIANT SCIENTIST
I don't know about that... but he clearly is the most average of fighters.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"Clearly being smart doesn't translate into fighting ability. Just ask Gohan.
This song needs more love. He's basic, but he's got some moves. He's good at getting in and punishing enemies for being in melee range with him or trying to bop him when he's in the corner. I might try him out on my team, though I'm not sure who to replace.
Not 16, obviously.
Tien might leave my team at some point, but replacing him with Bardock would rob me of a beam assist.
Maybe he could go into my second slot, which is currently occupied by either A-Gohan or Blueper Vegeta. Bardock can do nice things with meter, but he doesn't need a lot of it, like Tien does.
Or maybe I'll just forget about Bardock and try out 18 in my second slot.

I have a message from another time...> Broly
I slep
> has Susanoo’s god press with armor
REAL SHIT
"Shake the dust." - Anis MojganiWhen everyone mentioned a God Press I thought they meant the dude who originally had it.
Funny that Blazblue's final boss 100% stole that move from Rugal, name and all.

Yeah, that's totally Rugal's move. Which means I called it. Yay! Granted, I was expecting it to be a super.
This is odd for me to say, since I'm the guy always pointing out how much of a bore Bardock tends to be in the video games but... I actually like him here. This game imo needed a more dynamic physical guy (whereas Hit and Yamcha are primarily ground centered), and somehow the whole Boring, but Practical vibe he has actually works on the frenetic, Marvel-style 2D plane. But I'm in the minority, I guess.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Oh thank god, they didn't wait until to release gameplay.
I don't think there's anything wrong with the way Bardock moves so far, but I can easily see Broly being next popular character being use. I knew Broly would have God Press, it's practically his signature move in Movie 8.
Its not literally called God Press, but the name is so fitting that it's basically synonymous with him.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Broly's theme should really be in the soundtrack.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."If they (understandably) couldn't get the rights to the Pantera song, they could've at least had his theme be a Suspiciously Similar Song instead, though given DB's past scuffles with copyright I can also see why that didn't happen.
"I'll show you fear, there is no hell, only darkness." My twitterThere's only one theme I associate with Broly:
"YOUR POWER LEVEL IS TWICE AS HIGH AS YOUR SAIYAN HAIR IS LONG"
Broly's enemies are done/Broly power MAXIMUUUUUUUUM
I finally realize who that missing character this roster is lacking, it's Mr. Satan.
I'm actually being serious here. Hercule been such a staple for DBZ games that it's so odd for him to being in this game. Shouldn't even be that hard to implement him in the game either. Along with Bardock & Broly I think it's ridiculous that he's not part of the starting roster.
What about Vegito?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Mr. Satan should definitely be playable.
Broly breakdown:
He might actually be too weak.
You can't realistically assess a fighting game character's strength competitively after just one day of playing them.
Might be he has stuff Max couldn't figure out yet.
Max had 4-6 hours & he still said there's a lot he still wants to experiment. Going off what he said, Broly sounds like someone that isn't that accessible for beginners & needs a lot of effort to put in the hurt.
I wouldn't mind, but Vegetto sounds more like a SNK Boss then anything else. Granted, Beerus is in the game, but who cares if they actually make Vegetto a SNK Boss.

What if they added Vegetto but he had an alternate costume that made him Gogeta? And either way he has both the Stardust Crusher and that energy spear move. He'd be like a 4x Composite Character.
Well theoretically speaking there's no real reason why Vegetto or Gogeta can't use each other moves to begin with. If you asked me they should just do that, but this game has very limited moveset for the majority of the characters.
Yeah, if and when we get Vegetto I could see them compositing a few of Gogeta's things into him for expediency's sake, like the flippy aerial moves and flash step and such.
Then again, I'm also kind of expecting them to pull a move similar to Beerus or Nappa and emphasize one particular trait in his moveset: particularly, have his moves center around the Spirit Sword.

Oooh, he has an invincible level 1 super? That's strong.
