As most of us come up with wish lists for potential characters and move-sets, Alexander Crafter has, so far, designed some alternate costumes for Android #18, Krillin, and Vegeta. He's also animated/drawn a proposal move-set for Caulifla, making her similar to #18 with her usage of SSJ Berserker Kale.
Warning for non-native or beginner Spanish speakers (like myself): you can translate the auto-generated captions in the options tab, but you'll have some wishy-washy results.
- Redesigned her Hammerman pants into jeans
- Stance is similar to Goku's.
- Fighting style relies more on kicks and counter attacks (or parrys)
- Calls in SSJ Berserker Kale for special moves, usually as a follow up to a parry
- Briefly uses her Third Grade form as finishing move after juggling her opponent
- Animated her new round entrance (Naturally, the same as every character).
- Android Saga (Two costumes)
- Cell Saga
- Buu Saga
- Tournament of Power
- Battle Of Gods
- Saiyan Saga (with scouter)
- Freeza/Frieza Saga
- Cell Saga
- Resurrection F
- Majin Vegeta
- Buu Saga
- Badman Vegeta (Pink Button-On with Yellow Jeans)
- Original Dragon Ball GI
- Freeza/Frieza Saga
- Cell Saga
- Resurrection F (Police Uniform)
- Universe 6 Tournament
- Battle Of Gods
Safe bet that we're getting a new trailer this weekend?
I really like that Cell Saga costume for 18. The original appearance costume for Krillin is dope too. Vegeta's not a guy who much believes in a wide wardrobe, is he?

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.TGS is next week though.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Playing a little in the first scrum, just to test out the game before I go to bed. I'll be streaming later, though.
I like it. Just offhand, I get the sense that while the bit about the characters all feeling the same may be truer and truer as levels get higher, just in regular play it won't necessarily feel that way.
The beta is nothing but fighting online, or watching people fight online, so getting a handle on the control scheme is probably the hardest part. Sink or swim style - figuring out how to get combos to continue on the fly, while not letting the game's deceptive similarity to MVC3 screw me up, so there's an upper limit to the amount I'm really able to learn at the moment, but all in all it's pretty great.
That said, besides instinctively trying to go from med-heavy and ending combos immediately and having to accepting that launchers do not always connect, no significant problems learning the game - it's all very instinctive. If you've played MVC and Guilty Gear before, it's like riding a bike that is somehow both of those bikes fused together. So much so that, again, it's easy to dip into their control schemes instinctively and screw up.
So far, Dragon Rush has been far less helpful than Vanish, to the point where I considered replacing the shortcut key for one with the other, but I think that's just because I have yet to really learn the ropes. Switching took a little getting used to - it's not like MVC, where you can hold down the switch button even when your character can't actually switch (like when they're taking damage) and they'll do so at first opportunity. Do that, and the button will (lol) do nothing, so you have to commit to switches in the middle of actual combat.
Maximilian is right in that 16 is pretty damn good, though I basically gave up on trying to figure out how to do his instakill - instead I focused on his more standard moves and supers, and once you get his command grabs down he's a damage machine (no pun intended). So far I've been playing him, 18 and Krillin.
Random last note: the victory screen dialogue (not referring to the animated winposes) is entirely voice acted, which is a nice touch. No character unique quotes yet as far as I can tell, though.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Latest VJump confirms Tienshinhan and Yamcha. Chaotzu is a Tien assist. Also apparently it reveals a new character made by Toriyama for this game: Android 21.
For Those who Seek the Thrill of Death: A Dramatic SMT3 Hard PlaythroughOh thank God, another woman at least. Interesting. Is Toriyama involved with the story mode outside of designing 21?

And here's a picture of 21◊. I like her design.
I wouldn't be surprised if he was, since he already designed a new character for it.
>>Looks at Tiens stats.
>>notices they are 1 point higher than Yamcha's

I'd say more like Tien's and Yamcha's popularities switch in the terms of America VS Japan (Americans like Tien more while Japanese like Yamcha more).
It's been 3000 years…Yamcha is a on-the-ground, close-range, rush-type fighter. He uses surprise attacks and combos derived from his signature attack, “Wolf Fang Fist.” His special attack, Spirit Ball, can be controlled with additional input. He can also use his Meteor special attack, “Neo Wolf Fang Fist.” Here are his stats:
Power: 2 Speed: 4 Reach: 2 Technique: 3 Energy: 2
Tien is a high-performance fighter who overwhelms his opponents with various techniques, from Tri-Beam to Dodon Ray, Volleyball Attack, and even assists through Chiaotzu’s Telekinesis, which can seal the opponent’s movement. When using Tri-Beam, it is possible to rapid-fire with additional input, but HP will deplete for every shot. Here are his stats:
Power: 3 Speed: 3 Reach: 3 Technique: 3 Energy: 2
Translations of the scans.
For Those who Seek the Thrill of Death: A Dramatic SMT3 Hard PlaythroughSo they gave Yamcha, Milia's Secret Garden.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Well he is the Chinese rival archetype.
I'm not sure if it's like Secret Garden where you pre-set the motions before the ball comes out or if it's just a projectile that you can control while it's out. Would be cool if it's the former, though.
For Those who Seek the Thrill of Death: A Dramatic SMT3 Hard PlaythroughWell, Tien is stronger than Yamcha, so it makes sense he has higher stats.
I remember that video from the main DB thread. Is there any actual evidence that Japan dislikes Tien, or is this just some kind of exaggeration by someone who likes the character a bit too much?
One Strip! One Strip! How do you link a twitch video?
Forget it, here's my twitch channel. I'm streaming some gameplay, so you guys know clumsy low-to-mid level gameplay looks.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. The beta footage is shaping up real nicely.
Streaming the last hour or so of my small, insignificant American beta experience. It's been a very informative weekend.

Now that the roster is at 15 characters and still several months to go before the release date of the game, I just want to say I especially find it confusing people thought there were only going to be 10-13 characters when this game was first announced.
It's a 3v3 tag fighter.
It didn't make sense when I heard it then and it especially doesn't make sense when I look back at it now.
Well there was Skullgirls, though that game was under a curse for most of its development.
Yamcha of all people has the best looking close combat in the game.
Yamcha reminds me a lot of Wolverine and not just because of the name of his fighting style.
