Of those, I like 1.2 best.
I'd go with that as well.
Check out my fanfiction!1.3 has some rebellious touch which we are looking for
I prefer 1.2 to 1.3.
Lady Mary is a good example and I suggested the image to offer some variety... but now when I think of it, she is a rather late example and even has '20s Bob Haircut in the picture.
1.2>1.1
The woman on 1.3 looks a bit too tomboyish to me to be counted as a Lady, plus the image itself leans towards JAFAAC.
Spiral out, keep going.Same here.
I'll go with 1.2.
(Annoyed grunt)I agree with the latter concern, which is why I favor 1.2.
1.2
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyPerhaps a better quality of 1.2:

to the quality upgrade. That said, the link is broken.
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they pretty12 is good.
(Annoyed grunt)Is this consensus good enough?

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Yep, this one's ready to go. The new pic's up and tagged; caption?
I never have good ideas for captions.
I don't think it needs one. Or should the caption summarize the idea that horse symbolizes the class background or something similar?
I have been trying to decide if the lady flailing a bit is good or bad. If good, lean into it by mentioning in caption?
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. No consensus on a caption; locking up.
I have thought for a while that Spirited Young Lady could have a page image, but it it not an easy trope to illustrate.
It is a trope almost by definition compared/contrasted to a Proper Lady.
From the trope description:
Both are rather classist tropes of the past and the examples should be at least upper middle class or landed genry. Proper Lady is selfless and pure, and our current page image is a young mother in pink with a Parasol of Prettiness — good visual shorthand IMO.
I would suggest a young lady riding a horse for Spirited Young Lady.
Riding horses became a symbol of respect in a person’s rank since owning a horse was expensive. It was expected of women to ride gracefully and daintily, hence it fulfils the part that SYL is graceful, feminine, lady-like and upper class. Riding for sport, at least in my mind, shows independence — Proper Lady is too self-less to enjoy sport , as it is an activity that benefits just herself, and she often does more "useful" things.
From trope description:
Hope my reasoning makes sense to you. :-)
Here are my suggestions:
1) Young lady riding a horse with dogs
2) Young lady riding so vigorously that she has lost her cap
3) Lady Mary from Downton Abbey on a fox hunt
