You're talking about a hypothetical situation relating to several tropes it doesn't directly contradict, so I've got to ask, what brought it up?
Check out my fanfiction!Just sheer curiosity.
Then the answer is a definite maybe.
Check out my fanfiction! If Cosmic Entities were real, then presumably they'd have enough power to be anything they wanted to be, including young (literally—they're not going to be bound by the pesky limitations of space-time).
In fiction, they're even less bound, since writers can say anything they want, even if it makes no sense. In fiction, a duck can be a species of dog if the writer so declares. :)
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Yes, the question by the OP makes no sense, because these are fictional beings; they can be whatever the author wants them to be. Tropes are not straitjackets; they are concepts used by writers in their works, whether consciously or not.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"
Let's say there's a Cosmic Entity that is a fundamental part of existence. They are eternal and can never, EVER be killed. Usually they're about as old or older than time, but can they be simply thousands of years old? Hell, can they be born from a mortal yet they themselves are immortal in every sense of the term?
