I want edgehorse backstory.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI figure she'll be The Heavy. We'll probably get a lot of backstory for who she is and how her horn came to be broken and why she's with the Storm King, all leading up to her redemption moment where she's unf*cked by The Power of Friendship.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Which is predictable and exactly the reason I would like to see it not happening.
Im suprised that this movie is not getting more hype
I'm sure that's due to Lionsgate probably not pushing the movie too hard...at least not right now. Half of a movie's success is a great marketing campaign. Maybe Lionsgate does have an extensive marketing campaign, they're just saving it for September and October. Yet, based on Lionsgate's history of distributing and marketing animated films, it's not likely.

"You can run, but you can't hide from the Buzzinator!"Lionsgate doesn't strike me as a big or very profitable distributor, so maybe they can't promote this movie a lot. Their choices for movies to distribute are all very questionable.
I think it may also be because MLP's popularity has died down. Its still well-liked and well known but it is not as huge as say it was in 2012-2013
Ironic, considering people wanted to see a MLP movie that ISN'T about living girls' dolls at a high school for years!
There's not much reason to hype it, really. The primary target audience is little girls who don't really care about, like, writer interviews and shit. The peripheral audience, meanwhile, came to the show in droves without ever being advertised to; the bronies are going to be there with or without hype.
My Little Pony has enough of an established fanbase that they don't really need to spend a lot of money trying to hype up the film when the words "My Little Pony: The Movie" already says everything that everyone who's going to care needs to hear.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Also this movie will be IN THEATERS, as opposed to the more recent EQ movies.
What if the movie makes the show's popularity shoot back up?
Pinkie Pie and flugelhorns are a bad combination.I bet it will.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.The Movie will cause a second age of Bronies' omnipresence. Friendship is Magic from that point would be considered Generation 5
In other news, the official map's been updated to include the movie's locations◊. The new part's not as complex or visually interesting as the old one, I thought, but to be fair the old part is an aggregate of six seasons' worth of locations, and there's only so much you can cram in even a full-length movie. There's also a version with names, I hear, but I haven't been able to find it. On the whole, I like the result. If nothing else it's nice to see how all the locations in the trailer fit together.
One thing I found interesting is that the area south of the dragons' territory is marked by bamboo and some clouds and mountains that reminded me more than a bit of traditional Chinese art. One can't help but wonder if the staff isn't planning ahead to do something with that in some future episode or another.

Wait, shouldn't there be a tree on the right side of the row of houses in Our Town? It looks like it's still Starlight Glimmer's old house. :S
Pinkie Pie and flugelhorns are a bad combination. Is it just me or is the whole 'ponies travel outside their land to get help to fend off an invasion' similar to the G1 MLP movie? (And the Sea ponies are like the first TV special, and Capper is an anthropomorphic cat like Catrina!)
The Protomen enhanced my life. Most of the tie-in books, including the junior novelization and "The Art of..." Book, officially came out today.
So I wouldn't be surprised if spoilers started being added to the movie's page in the coming month.
Speaking of "The Art of My Little Pony: The Movie", the film is lucky to have one. Usually, only animated movies from major studios like Disney or Dreamworks get "Art of..." books and even then, I doubt there have been ones with films that are directly based on TV cartoons.

Pictures from the Art book have been really interesting. I'll definitely buy it later. And yes, information about the ending is online.
Of course it is. Not that I'm the type to look that stuff up anyway.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Based on the poses seen in Capper's section of the art book, it seems that he is going to have quite a few Furry Reminder moments.
You think we'll see any trailers on TV any time soon?
Pinkie Pie and flugelhorns are a bad combination.Movie comes out in less than a month so...
Wait, that soon?
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.October 6th. So less than a month, yes.
So you think she's gonna be a Darth Vader Clone then? I'm gonna need some pictures of Tempest to see if she has the requisite Tin Tyrant armor then
