What's the difference of Plunder, Robbing the Dead and Item-Drop Mechanic?

I know the last one is a videogame trope but it looks to me that videogame examples of Plunder can fall into IDM too...

Plunder is stealing stuff, and the Video Games folder looks like it's mostly confusing this with Item-Drop Mechanic.

Robbing the Dead is stealing stuff from a dead person. This is probably a subtrope of Plunder.

Item-Drop Mechanic is specific to Video Games or other works using video game tropes. Essentially, this is when enemies or characters drop loot, etc., when they die.

Maybe wick checking Plunder for confusing it with itemDropMechanic is in order? After which point — if there is demonstrable misuse — one or the other ought to be brought to TRS.

To be fair, Item-Drop Mechanic seems to be a newer trope.
