Opening. I can see the argument...using an audio clip in that manner may be the best way to go with this.

Since it's been done before, I don't see why not.

I was the one who suggested the image. I'm sorry, I didn't notice the "soundtracks" word there. I've linked this thread in the Image Suggestion thread crowner.
Also, eroock's suggestion is great

The clock's up. I've gone ahead and added the XKCD panel and the music link; locking up.

Panel 2 of this xkcd strip is currently on its way to be placed on Ennio Morricone Pastiche. I would argue that it's not an example for the following reason: This trope is an audio trope and requires a Morricone-like sample to be played over a parody of a showdown. The example panel only portrays the showdown which has its own trope Showdown at High Noon. It would also make for a good illustration for Tumbleweed of Tension. Seeing the high vote count for this (misplaced) example on the crowner thread tells me that it's very likely to misread the trope and that image may just further it.
Suggestion: I couldn't find any visual lampshading of this trope, our best shot may be to put a youtube link on top with a recognizable Morricone track. We've done similar for other soundtrack-related tropes like The Elevator from Ipanema or Lonely Piano Piece.
Example: For the proper reading experience, play the music from this clip while reading on.
