A place to pre-discuss potential TRS cases?

I am missing a dedicated place to clarify issues I might have with a trope. Let's say I find that Un Entendre and Imagined Innuendo are Ridiculously Similar Tropes and want to get some feedback from the crowd if I am just missing something or my suspicion is valid and a solution must be found. If I come with my question to Trope Talk, they will say that it's TRS territory and close the thread. But to get a thread opened on TRS you will have to provide a full-blown analysis which I am not prepared to do if I am not sure I actually have a case at hand. So where would be the right place to bring my complaining to? I image some kind of TRS launch pad.

Asking on Ask The Tropers seems appropriate.

From what I can tell, questions like "What's the difference between these tropes?" or "What does this trope even mean?" are why Trope Talk exists. But the assumption is generally that the wiki is working fine and if you want to move things to TRS you'll still need to do the work

I've seen many pre-TRS topics in Trope Talk, and I think it works well, as long as the OP is clear about the intention. Sometimes it's just about asking if something is a TRS issue, or just a clean-up issue that doesn't require a TRS thread, or possibly a Short Term Project thread.

Also, this is not the thread or forum section for discussing the differences or lack thereof of those innuendo tropes.

Alright, then I will try my luck again on Trope Talk. I am not inclined to use Ask The Tropers for these kind of questions because of the way the board is structured (no reference points to link to) and the possible depth of the discussion.

If you're going for a discussion about the tropes, use Trope Talk. If you're simply asking a yes-no question about whether a TRS thread could help, use Ask The Tropers or Trope Talk (either is suitable for this).
