Considering that Muslim/Arab nations have long history of wars just like Hinduism and Christianity (disclaimer: I in no way imply that religions are violent) and famed military leaders, I don't think it's a stretch to believe that there has been numerous Muslim spies.

There have been many religious spies, assassins, etc. For example, Ehud in the Bible was an assassin for God.
