We can't study!

Rizu didn't have relevant flag like... at least for 20 chapters if not more. Her chapters are mostly mild fan service without any substance.

Hell recently even sensei scored more points with Yuiga then her. Nothing against Rizu but she is basically sub-heroine as of late.

I agree. While I think Fumino is clearly above Uruka, I think they're the only two real contenders unless there's a swerve and Rizu suddenly gets a ton of chapters with way more romantic focus and development.

Guess I'll throw my hat in; as far as "front runners" goes I would say it's Fumino (who's gotten the classic slowburn development) and then Uruka. Rizu has been stuck in perpetual "trying to understand these feelings" for like a long ass while now and most of the developement has been onesided on Rizu's end. ^note Compare that to Fumino actually being the girl he's closest to in general and Yuiga finding himself in denial that he might be jealous over the idea that Uruka might like another guy.

As far as who I think will win? Uruka is my actual favorite of three but past harems have conditioned me to the idea that the girl who is most blatant at crushing on the MC is destined to lose. I'm expecting Uruka to get over her crush before the end of the series.

I don't see it. I don't even like Rizu all that much but I just don't see how she wasn't in the lead prior to chapter 39. Uruka ruined her chances the moment she lied about not having feelings for Yuiga and her chapters are more filler than Rizu's. Yeah Rizu's feelings have been one sided but she's still getting romantic focus either way while becoming closer to him in the process.

Post Uruka's lie and prior to the most recent chapter I wouldn't say her relationship with Yuiga had advanced at all. Him starting to notice that she's cute doesn't really mean much when he already considered Fumino and Rizu to be cute. Yeah you could bring up his worry about her crush but given how it has impacted her studies and things it comes across more as him worrying about her rather than any jealousy on his part.

Frankly if it weren't for chapter 39 I'd have ranked the race forerunners as Rizu and Uruka since Fumino is actively trying to help out both of them rather than pursue him herself but now? I'd say Fumino and Rizu are the forerunners with Uruka being dead last.

Let's break it up for bit.

• Fumino is Yuiga's trusted confidant
• Uruka and Naryuki has steadily progressing mutual romance going on (will elaborate later)
• Rizu has what exactly? One-sided crush with no progress (accidental kiss really REALLY doesn't count as development) and D cup.

Also you said Uruka blown her chances, but that's not how it played on. It didn't reset status quo. Yuiga remained aware of her and became even jealous. What's more his awareness grows with time as you could this chapter when he called her " dazzling and beautiful ". By this point Naryuki has crush on Uruka and slowly starting aware of it.

Fumino has chance, but it would need either Yuiga or Uruka blow their progress (this time for real) or prematurely hook up.

I call it filler because Uruka has literally zero chance of winning. Her chapters basically just pad out time.

It doesn't bug me as much, because we will only find out who gets on that Nariyucky at the very very very end, and there's always the probability that none of them do. I liked this chapter a lot because we see more of Uruka, out of just her liking Nariyuki.

Chapter 43 out at the Box

Ah, so close. Also, footsie. Accidentally lesbian footsie...

Uruka might not be my favorite girl, but damn, I felt bad for her after this chapter.

Yeah, I don't think she's going to win and that just made the whole thing painful.

There was just one thing, though: had he really never told her that his father died before? He asks her not to tell anyone like it's a secret. Come to think of it, I don't think he even mentioned it to Furuhashi when she talked about her own dead mom.

I don't think it's about death of his father itself is secret. I mean probably all girls knows Yuiga is from single parent family. Maybe it's more about, how big toll it took on him that time and how he almost gave up. No one likes talk about low points of their lifes.

Chapter 44: Some big debacle about grades.

Funniest chapter in a while, I loved the sustained misunderstanding.

"G? There's a grade like that?!"

~this series it going to give me a stroke some day~ the new chapter is out.

The new girl, Kirisu's sister, is cool. She just loves her sister so much, that she sees no flaw in her whatsoever, and that's a riot. More Kirisu is also good because I'm a garbage baby and she's my favorite, shut up.

Boy though, if she gets dragged into the harem I'm going to have a fit. It would be ideal if she was the same as Ashumi; She can be thrown into stupid romcom and fanservice scenarios, but she's not interested in pursuing an actual relationship with him.

Asumi is part of the harem though and the worst member to boot. I get the feeling Miharu will be a yandere and the seventh member of the harem though so...

So 45 is also out:

Yuiga really needs to start taking another route.

A younger sister of one of the heroines, who completely misreads the situation and acts belligerent towards the protagonist? I'm getting a sense of Deja vu and not a good one...

This chapter was still good, just because sensei is always hilarious. And seeing Yuiga gush over sushi was amazing.

We should learn some more about sensei at least so that's a plus.

So how long before Yuiga's little sister collide with her? The inevitable Brocon vs Siscon collision writes itself.

Imouto tries too hard.

"Dude, why are you hiding it? Just come out, and admit it. You're a harem protagonist. Everybody can see it."

46: It's always fun to see a sheltered girl try and seduce a guy. She's so clumsy.

They say that drunken words are sober thoughts, so I guess sensei really is proud of him

47: Shadow Emperor descends.

Ah Japan and their weird fixation on given names. So silly.

Always cool to see Nariyuki working hard. Good boy.

48: You know, I really feel for Yuiga. Getting dragged into senpai's stupid scheme, and when he helps, he's constantly teased and mocked in return. He's almost too nice of a guy.

And what's with that Dolphin?

So next chapter, it's Sensei turn again? She sure is getting a lot of coverage these days.

Kirisu fanservice is the best worst thing in this whole manga. Best because that's totally my scene, worst because it pains me to think that it's my scene. God though, wouldn't it be great if this series had the balls to make her fall in love, for real real. Jitsu Wa and Nisekoi got away with it, so there's precedent.

Man, I was fine with Asumi because she was the level head in the group of girls, and wasn't actually in love with Nariyuki, even if she enjoyed teasing him. As this chapter shows, though, there's a good chance I was naive for thinking that would last for long. Oh well.

I mean she's still just teasing him. If anything it's Yuiga that may be developing feelings for her, as unlikely to go anywhere as that is.

Chapter 49 out.

Troublesome. Sensei is absolutely troublesome.

The story of Yuiga's life.

But at least it's easy to understand why he's popular with girls.

Remember when this series was about Yuiga tutoring girls so that he could get a Recommendation Letter?

They'll get back to that someday. The series has settled into its harem ecchi routine, but they'll have to get back to that somedaaaay...

Not that I'm complaining for this chapter. No such thing as barriers when it comes to love, let's go boys Kirisu-sensei 2K18 we're gonna take the championship home with us.
