Previous thread. I don't have much of a problem with the current, to be honest.

Lateral change. Keep current.
The suggestion needs more panels than the current to get the same point across, and I can't say the "visuals" add much either, since the game they're playing don't really amount to much.
Honestly, I don't like either the current or the suggestion.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"The current is decent. The suggestion really only needs frames 2 and 3 to illustrate the trope. But it's very close to a quote masquerading as a page image.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I figure that having at least one of the "from the game" panels (it doesn't have to be two of them as I've used) would add something visually that neither the current image nor "XKCD but just the text panels" would have.
Keep the current.
(Annoyed grunt)What exactly does the current offer as an image that it wouldn't as a quotation, anyway?
Them hanging from some tall structure and Thaco's face is enough context for me. Also, the page has a good quote already.
Hmm... I'm still not convinced that anything added by the visuals helps exemplify the trope. Their point would be just as valid whether they were hanging from a "tall structure" or not.
Even if the XKCD suggestion isn't necessarily a good alternative, should we still keep looking?

Bumping after a few days to see if anyone else has any other ideas...
Considering the nature of the trope, it's going to need a lot of text.
No suggestions other than agreeing with the point in 11.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"The quizzical look on the goblin's face in panel two makes the current image not just a quote, IMO.
I prefer keeping the current. I think due to the nature of this trope it's hard to picture it without having at least some dialogue.
Twitter/Instagram: anzasquiddles. Deviantart: anzahanifathallah."Facial expression" is a case that could be made for just about any of the webcomics examples.
I'll stick with pulling the current for that reason. There's no getting around the fact that nothing in the picture actually adds any visual support to understanding the trope.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Might "imageless" be better, then?
It's a speech trope, so maybe...

The current isn't harming the page in any way. Honestly, I think we're starting to get way too liberal with the "might as well be a page quote" hammer.
... especially when it comes to dialog-driven tropes.
"Might as well be a page quote" is an ok hammer, If there are better options out there. For dialogue tropes, there often aren't.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Bumping after 10 or so days... what makes the current better than the alternatives suggested so far?
Current is weak, but I think it's better than nothing.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.
For the Goblins example, the visuals add nothing. It may as well be a quotation instead.
I suggest the following from XKCD:
For the record, it uses 4 of the 5 panels, but not all 5. Is that still problematic, or is it legit?
