I'm sorry, I am unfamiliar with that expression. What's a packrat?
Fair enough on both points^^'. Though I am still wondering WHY they were interested in a weapon that would be impossible for them to use without killing themselves. I mean, seriously, as cool as it sounds, a Doomsday Device capable of destroying the entire universe is pretty much useless unless you're a Straw Nihilist (or, in Maltruant's case, if you can actually figure out a way to use it that won't harm you). The Vreedles I get it, they are morons who just want to blow things up without thinking of the consequences, but the Inkurseans and Psyphon are conquerors and criminals. They NEED the Universe for their business.
Not yet, sadly. Got a lot of shows to catch up to, and I don't know yet where to find the link...

Somebody who has an excess of stuff, including stuff you'd generally consider useless, but refuse to get rid of.
Unrelated to the bad joke, but for some reason, if Echo Echo comes back, I'd kinda like to see them based more off of the Ultimate version instead of the "Base" form.

So what are the thoughts on this reboot?
I've caught little bits and pieces here and there, but I don't have much to say on the subject, so I'm curious to hear something from people who've been paying attention to it.
One Strip! One Strip!Meh.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Mediocre and bland. Yeah, the finale was pretty good (yet also significantly flawed) but it doesn't make up for the rest of the first season being so mediocre and bland.
Someone needs to tell that little Simon, "NO JUICE FOR YOU!"

WHY DON'T THEY USE THESE IN THE ACTUAL EPISODES?!
Mind telling us what the video is about? External linking without context is against the rules.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Uh, sorry. Just video I've found on Ben 10 club. It details information about species that Ben turns into. There are some new facts and ideas and some ideas taken from previous shows plus first look on Asmuth.
Cartoon Network has started showing those videos in the US since last weekend with the new episodes. I remember seeing only Diamondhead's so far.
I've seen this in the UK anyway since CN had it a few months ago.
It would be good if aliens such as Frankenstrike, Snare-Oh and Alien X could make a comeback, although in keeping with the Lighter and Softer tone, maybe have Alien X a bit more of a G-rated version of an Erudite Stoner (I guess being a Bowie fan, I like Alien X for being a literal interpretation of Starman, since Alien X is a living galaxy..) and they could drop Serena and Bellicus.
I wouldn't mind Jury Rigg returning (he was good, although I didn't like his original demon form) and Shocksquatch (another of my favorites from the Omnitrix).
This new series isn't bad but it's not awful, however at least it's not Teen Titans Go!... I wonder if any of the other antagonists such as the frog-girl Princess Attea and characters such as the Revonnahgander returning.
It's OK but let's see if it improves, after all even shows such as Steven Universe were slow to develop from episode 1.

Steven from beginning had fluid animation, nice humor, charming characters and style. I never got people saying hat it looked like every other show, when each episode oozed with foreshadowing.
Ben 'boot had nothing until season finale. Sorry if I'm pesimistic, but I'll rather be pleasantly surprised then negativily.
Reports from UK airings of the first few Season 2 episodes say that the show is still improved following the Season 1 finale - Vilgax is now a more recurring foe, and there's a bigger sense of continuity, especially since a consequence of the Season 1 finale is that Enhanced Forms of Ben's aliens are now being unlocked once - or even twice - per episode.
However, the original series is re-airing on CN right now, and I was just reminded of one of my biggest disappointments in the reboot: Zombozo. I didn't like that they brought him back in UA and OV only to change his character from his effectively terrifying, vampiric, almost Pennywise-esque self in "Last Laugh", and I'm even more baffled why they included him in the reboot if they weren't going to make him at all like his original self, since he's now a complete goofball. He got arrested in his first Season 2 appearance and the Circus Freaks disbanded from him, so hopefully we'll see less of him now, because he's the one recurring villain in the reboot I just don't care for.
Wait, reboot Zombozo is nothing like the original? Then how is he?
He’s more of a traditional super villain. The trope page relates him to Silver Age Joker, but I’d put him more like Silver Age Mad Hatter or another hypnotism villain.
He’s been without his original characterization for years (his first appearance is the only thing he ever appears in that has it, iirc) though, so I’m not too miffed about him not having it here, specifically.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. In previous shows, he was at least in any way creepy and/or supernatural. Here, he only keeps these Joker-esque goofy weapons like exploding pies while he runs the circus and robs people, generally trough mind control. So he's essentially clown-themed take on Ringmaster, leader of Marvel's most infamous z-list supervilain team, Circus of Crime.
Another event that happens in season 2 is Rath is in it. Somewhat.
Any word on Kevin?
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Bringing back Vilgax's original form, giving Ben access to Vilgax's form, and bringing back Rath.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I did say somewhat. There is nothing on Kevin from what I know. The closest may be when Animo injects himself with DANA from the Omnitrix. His body turn into various parts of the aliens before turning into his version of Rath. Vilgax and Ben, who was enhanced Overflow and being held in the air by Vilgax, watch during the whole transformation. Ben doesn't recognize Rath. The only change to Animo's voice is he talks like Rath.
Perhaps this was already asked but... was Ben giving up the Omnitrix and hesitating to put it back on ever elaborated on in Alien Force or Ultimate Alien?
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Hah! No. AF had kinda rocky messy start. Omnitrix removal thing not only was never explained, it was only referenced once ever again - that Servantis stopped hounding Ben because he wasn't wearing Omnitrix.
Yeah, and he never thought about just going to grab the Omnitrix in Ben's closet. Though to be fair, neither did any of the many villains who wanted it.
At least now, we know why Psyphon wanted Anihilaarg. He learned it from Vilgax.
Theo, Im just sayin that he didn't just fully became a joke, but I'm seein what you're sayin.
So, you watched the finale?
