Hey everybody - this is the out of character discussion thread. Feel free to use this to ask questions about the game, make suggestions for the setting, and just chat about life if you desire. In this first post here, I will be making edits to accomodate any loot that you guys attain and will keep a running crew list that will hopefully help to keep everything organized.

Also, to start the discussion, which planets would you guys like to see/visit? I have encounters planned after your characters finish with the Pirate Fleet on Elrood but they could work with any planet, so if you guys have ideas, let me know!

• Loot
  • A few spare flightsuits were all that the Jedi Council allowed Calwell's crew to keep of their pilfered loot when they were captured. That and the pool filled with credit coins that Raan absolutely insisted upon before agreeing to join the mission.
  • Two R3-unit astromech droids.
  • One psychotic DUM pit droid, currently deactivated
  • Two vibropike
  • Various pieces of cheap clothing pilfered from an abandoned freighter.
  • Empty crates.
  • Numerous glowrods.
  • A wonky GNK power droid that has a tendency to fall over after a handful of steps.

  • First Mate Kal Zerro (no character sheet for him but he will be an appearing NPC)
  • Protocol Droid Z-2P0 (mainly will be around to provide Translation Convention and so I can make a Zootopia pun.)

"which planets would you guys like to see/visit?" I would like to see Utapau or Mandalore later on in the game.

If it comes up, the year in-game would be either "3453 ATC" or possibly "800 ARR" since "BBY" holds no meaning until the battle of Yavin actually happens.

As for locations, I like space hulks; massive, mysterious abandoned ship husks that are full of just awful things.

I'm still delighted that my joke suggestion of a literal money pool made it through. Then again, this is a pirate ship, and some standards have to be upheld.

For planets, that depends on if we're interested in wildland treks, high-density city fighting, or something more exotic (like Bespin or a zero-G space station). I'm open to all three, though Laski is a city girl and would feel more at home surrounded by skyscrapers. Taking her out of her comfort zone...that might be interesting.

All good suggestions - I'll see if I can't work some form of them into future events. In fact, one of your suggestions is pretty similar to what I have planned for the first encounter.

Also, thanks to Stygian Emperor for the tip about the dates. I knew BBY wouldn't apply but I had no idea that there was an actual dating system within canon that predates Yavin.

Neither did I, so that's quite helpful. Also, count me in as intrigued by a space hulk visit. Aliens impressions ahoy! (Plus, it's not technically piracy if it's already been abandoned—it's salvage. Surely the Jedi can't object to that.)

Speaking of Jedi, I'm wondering if you should try to nudge new players in that direction? They get cover identities and similar shenanigans so the options for characterization are extensive, and we already have a very extensive pirate crew.

As I mentioned in the signup thread, I will be trying to put up the first post of the main game thread today. I'll link it to you guys here once I do. Also, signups are still open for anybody interested, so if you of anyone interested in Star Wars, send them this way. Still, I think we have a good amount to actually get the game going.

Also, forgot to mention this earlier but I'm leaving it up to you all if your pirate characters have met before. You can say your character are new hires or have been there awhile.

Could you put links at the top of all the first posts like in the main thread? Its really helpful for me to jump between threads.

Is there like a medical bed or something on the ship? I didn't see anything listed in the map.

Didn't anticipate that but I'm going to say that there's a medical bed right in the meeting room where Artie can work. There's a first aid kit and a cooler of bacta. I'm going to say that, due to Calwell's success as a pirate that the medical supplies are well-stocked for a pirate ship but they're more like a free clinic's supplies instead of a big hospital, if that makes sense.

EDIT: Also, here is my intricately detailed and expertly crafted blueprints of the abandoned freighter. The blue areas are the cargo holds. The red pentagon represents where you guys are at currently. The white area is the cockpit and the yellow is the engine room.

Request that we can take it as a given now that Laski is going to be poking her pole around every corner, doorway, or dark area. There really isn't a good way to say it.

(A few years ago I was in a tabletop Star Wars RPG with a brilliant but merciless GM. The guy was legit the best GM I've ever met. He also played the opposition as competent, wily, and intent on survival, and in several memorable sessions inflicted incredible losses on us [though the unnatural number of natural 20s certainly helped]. Very quickly we learned to ask for a basic mirror-on-a-stick to deal with corner ambushes.)

Also, main thread post incoming soonish. For future reference, I will most likely be putting up a main thread post once a day, typically in the evening. The only exception to this is if things are running a bit slower (probably will happen on weekends) or if there's a high-pitched action sequence and then I'll try to post more frequently.

Okay - quick announcement. Unfortunately, a family matter has come up so I will be out of town until Sunday. The place I will be staying at has very spotty internet so I probably won't be able to post until I come back Sunday. In the meantime, I'll put up a small post today so you guys have something to respond to until then (sorry wakdatstomp - I keep posting before you have a chance to).

In other news, I am back from my trip. I should be free today and tomorrow so I'll put up a post once everyone has put one up.

Okay it's been a couple days since the last GM post from me. Would you all be fine if I posted today or would you like me to wait on those who have not posted?
